Seems far-fetched, but there are a lot of HBCUs that are broke and can barely keep the lights on. I'm glad this show touched on it. They lied to her about how bad their financial situation was because anyone smart would have ran for the hills if they saw their books.
The freshman is too excited to be in the band. She's the type to throw you under the bus to get hers. She's ambitious, but has the makings of a terrible person.
