:whoa: Like I said you need to watch that movie again. It's f*cking Christopher Nolan film.

Okay, if you're serious about this then you need to read this. I don't want to hear you said, "I didn't read" then you miss out.

:smh: you gonna called me dumb ass like some childish sh!t instead of have a real discussion? All you do is insulting.

This will be my last time I'll post to explain to you.

the film is from the perspective of the magician's diaries, where they knew the other would read them...they were constantly trying to out do each other...

you could view the machine as though it was a lie, what he was reading was a lie...

he wanted the other to think the machine worked but it didn't...we (the viewer) are just seeing it from what Bale's character is picturing in his head after reading the diary...

I don't think that is what they intended though, I think they intended the viewer to think it was all real...

Every post in there takes apart that theory you hold so dearly. Just because you think it's not real dosent mean your right :usure:

Yeah they lost me on that part too. But it still had one of the most memorable rivalries I've ever seen on film.

It's funny, since I've seen that movie I've always thought that the relationship between Angier and Borden(and Edison and Tesla in real life) mirrored the relationship between Jay-Z and Nas.

-Nas/Borden/Tesla is the "still waters run deep" type. He's more quiet, serious, intelligent and better at his craft.

-Jay/Angier/Edison is more of a wordly type. Still talented, but not quite as talented as Nas/Borden/Tesla. But he's a better businessman and a marketer, and less of a "head in the clouds" type, so he's able to parlay that in more traditional success(i.e: money, fame).

:comeon:

what you said does make sense though :wow: i own the movie too

but there is one HUGE hole and that is angier at tesla's shooting his "double" unless that was a lie

secondly

The look on the drowning man’s face as he is struggling, first to understand what happened to him, and then to save his life, cannot be the look of Angier or one of his supposed clones in the moment of their greatest victory, for which he had prepared for so long, and whose “price” he had willingly accepted. No, it is the face of a desperate man, crying for help – the face of Angier's double.

is a bit of a stretch, noone peacefully drowns :usure:
