Well he wasn't the only star but Arnold is the major draw and I think that's what these movies are missing.

I love Predators too and its highly slept on. How do they get off of the planet?

I hear you. I’m just not sold on Arnold being a draw anymore. The movies he’s done post governor haven’t done anything. Also he returned to freaking terminator and even that didn’t work. Yeah the movie needed to be good but you figure putting him back in would at least get you a better opening weekend than it got. Even terminator 3 disappointed with him in the lead. Hopefully that changes next year for the new terminator. But I think the problem he has, and it’s a problem Sly doesn’t have right now, is a lot of his rolls depend on him being an indestructible force or mountain of muscle. Once he’s no longer believable as the former and can’t physically be the latter, people want to see him less.

Breh I’m not counting for inflation. Of course if we did that then it’s not but rarely does anyone count inflation when they make those statements. Come on man don’t be silly. AvP is still the biggest movie in the franchise *not counting for inflation* if that makes you sleep better at night. Make that same argument next time someone says titanic or avatar or force awakens are more successful than gone with the wind.

And again nah. Like I said if you want me to go through it blow by blow and have an actual discussion we can do that homie. I love that. But if you want to do whatever this thing you’re doing now is, then miss me on it. You want to debate film and talk film or you want to be a typical Coli cat? Your call. Idk man I really don’t know what Disney wants to do with all this. I think they’re going to let fox still be its own studio like Pixar or marvel but I have no clue what they want. They’ll probably look at alien and predator and say “meh let’s try again in 10 years” because ultimately they just don’t make enough money. Even if the movie is dope, they probably still won’t. And you know Disney wants to make money.

If you make a predator movie for the cheap then you can get it done. But I don’t think that’s possible with alien.


All of this shyt is a mystery till next year. In the end they’ll probably all end up blade runner status anyway

And I don’t like it cause of Shane. shyt I’m not a big fan of long kiss goodnight and that’s his movie. He’s not infallible. This shyt just hit my pleasure points and gave me what I wanted...until the end where I threw my hands up.

I've never walked out of a movie before in my life... I contemplated walking out of this one it was that bad.

Predator will always be known as THE predator film. Avp is nonsense. Stop. It barely made more money than tge origibal on top of it. Its budget was huge compared.

What we gonna say next. Terminator rise of machines, salvation and genesis are known as a bigger /more successful films because they made more than the original terminator lmao.

Word. There are technical issues that didn’t work . Like the lighting. And some of the action shots. And everything that happened in the forest was way too dark. When sterling got killed I could barely tell what happened because I could barely see what happened. The Batman begins comparison is apt. Probably another reason he started shooting his fighting scenes in the light because what he was doing wasn’t working

Bruh, I had to rewind that shyt right back immediately to make sure I saw what I saw.

One of the best characters in the film and they just glossed over his death like dude was an extra.

Preds for me is better in retrospect. I don't hate it tho, just wasn't fully satisfied.

Seen this movie yesterday.

Enjoyed it for what it was. Strong points were the fukkery and the loonies. Action was decent. Jokes had me laughing. The lighting in some of the action scenes was bad. Reminded me of Batman begins. Shootouts start happening and you scrambling to understand what's going on. Good kills tho.

The ending was corny with that suit shyt that popped up.

I liked the movie better than the Predators film and it does have the same vibe as 1 and 2, but just aint executed on that level.

I swore up and down it was going to be an Alien face hugger off in that pod. I mean why not? At this point if they are going to keep making these movies, just embrace the tomfoolery.
