What the hell does this have to do with anything. They're fighters they don't give a fukk
they are minorities in a pool of nearly 100 fighters. Why do they need to be pitted against each other now? why can there only be one? :rudy:

GSP consistently fights the best fighters in one of the most toughest and deepest divisions in MMA.
says who rogan? goldberg? dana?
As a result, he will generally fight 'legit contenders'.
like whom? serra? who won a reality tv competition and beat him.Hardy? who was a wrestling aversed novice that he couldn't finish...koscheck? overachieving reality tv alum. thiago silva? 1 dimensional striker with no wrestling whos resume was gassed when he beat a :flabbynsick: hughes. jake shields? we all know the history here.. nick diaz? the dude that always fell to wrestlers and rebuilt his career on beating one dimensional strikers :beli: carlos condit? really? was this guy really ever a serious contender with his limited wrestling D? :dahell: or matybe u want to cite the bloated lws he beat :russ:

If johnny would have kept pressuring in the last round he would've 3-2'd George on the judges scorecards, Johnny lost the fight himself
That's exactly what I watched...

A stronger fighter thinking the little cuts on GSPs face will make the judges give him the fight...But everybody has lumped up GSP...I don't recall a recent GSP fight were he didn't look like he was stung by a swarm of bees...

By the first couple of exchanges, Hendricks realised that GSP did not have the power to hurt him, GSP could not out wrestle him, GSP didn't have the KO power in his hands, and yet Hendricks chose to sit back and wait for the counter punch, instead of going Cain Velasquez on GSP...

Hendrciks should have mauled and manhandled GSP on the the feet and on the ground, he would have broken GSPs spirit...You can tell GSP had no answer, so he stuck to scoring points and won the fight fair and square...

Like I said, Hendricks did a lot of damage with fewer strucks, but GSP had way more strikes, constantly pushed the action, half the time, all Hendrciks was doing was brush GSP aside, and not really striking...

How many significant strikes do they say gsp landed? That nikka johny looked like he just got done with breakfast at IHOP, gspeepee looked like he got mauled by an angry caribou brehs. Ppl giving the points to Pierre, what fight were you watching?

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...ndricks-breaking-down-the-fightmetric-numbers

This breaks down the numbers...

After reading the numbers, I think maybe Hendricks could have won depending on who was judging...

To summarize...

The judges all gave Hendricks rounds 2 and 4, and GSP rounds 3 and 5...Round 1 was the deciding round..

This is what happened in Round 1

"Hendricks landed 27 total strikes to GSP's 26. GSP, however, would land 19 significant strikes to Hendricks' 18. Both fighters landed one takedown. GSP was also recorded as attempting a guillotine choke"

"Of Hendricks' 27 total strikes, 9 went to the head (8 power), 4 went to the body (1 power), and 14 went to the legs (8 power). 22 of those strikes were in the clinch, 4 were on the ground and 1 was at striking range.
When it comes to GSP, 5 strikes went to the head (1 power), 16 went to the body (10 power), and 5 went to the legs (2 power). 17 strikes were in the clinch, 9 came at striking range and 0 came on the ground.
Weighing which strikes are worth the most is an exercise in futility"

The moral of the story is, "fight to finish" don't just coast and wait for the counter punch...

The fight was way too close to objectively judge with accuracy...

Theres no question GSP has faced the stiffest of competition in the UFC, it was just that he finally faced an opponent that had superior athleticism, wrestling, takedown defense, etc.

GSP cant beat Hendricks playing the points game where he dont have significant advantages in all areas....GSP escaped and I doubt he would escape with a win again
