GSP has never been a great striker....His best attribute was negating his take downs...He didnt let GSP take him down once until the 5th and nothing came from it...
At one point he had the most effective jab I've seen in the UFC. It carried him in a couple of his fights. He even circled well while using the jab to win. True boxing stuff in a sport where it can make a huge difference in stand up. It was almost non-existent tonight because Hendricks kept his hand out there and in the way.

Youre clearly a Hendricks guy,im not going to waste my time lol...
He out rounded him simple as that 3-2..

Hendricks should be blaming himself he let him up off the mat and fell asleep in the 5th...Close fight you cant leave it into the hands of judging...

I could care less. I'm a realest. And so are the majority of MMA fans. You can't even logically tell me how GSP won. Instead falling back on that BS dont leave it to the judge line. Not every fight ends in KO like UFC undisputed

:manny: If its a close fight, judges are going to most likely give it to the champion. Hendricks won the FIGHT, but GSP won the CONTEST by winning more rounds imo if you go by the stats. But, anyways, who is going to file those papers on GSP? :flabbynsick: His explosiveness, speed, and power double is completely gone and he looks shot. He starting gassing after the 2nd round in this fight. He has been gassing since the Condit fight. He has looked mad :flabbynsick: since that Torn ACL he got. Smart for him to retire, he looks done imo, someone file those papers.

yeah i agree that he's definitely not the same guy as he was pre-injury. i think his reaction time is still there, he's still prepped and trained as well as you could be...though his body just doesn't work the same way anymore. i think he's as skilled as anybody out there but that loss in athleticism is really hurting him. he looked pretty unstoppable pre-acl and he's been looking worse and worse every fight since.

that said, he lost the fight, the contest, whatever the fukk you want to call it. i'm canadian, i'm a total homer, i was pulling for gsp but i have absolutely no clue how they (legitimately) gave him that fight.

:patrice: So is GSP going to give up the belt since he lost his smile :ehh: I thought he was washed after his Strikeforce, but Robbie Lawler has improved a lot and 170 is where he should have been at for his career. Would like to see how the Condit-Brown fight goes too.

I agree that he's been doing less and less each fight, but this is the least he's used the jab since he began using it as a big tool. And it's a big deal, at least to me, because he needed it in this fight more than any since that fight where he got poked in the eye. If he would've used it effectively, he could've controlled the action with his reach advantage.

Horrible decision. Just as bad as Gus/Jones. Oh, and for any GSP stan who's arguing about round 1, according to Ariel Helwani, even GSP's cornerman Firas Zahabi said GSP was down 2-1 going into the 4th round.

The right thing to do is either give Hendricks an immediate shot or strip GSP of the belt. In all honesty though I think GSP will be back; he won't want to retire with this cloud of doubt hanging over him. He wouldn't want to leave this performance as a lasting legacy, IMO.
