Speaks volumes to the decline of mainstream media when a pornstar is being used to score political points on a President. Not a Trump stan by any means, but the push being given by the media on this "story" is ridiculous. I can't help but wonder if this is yet another example of the mainstream media not having their finger on the pulse of what the American public truly thinks is important. The same way they got it dead wrong on Trump vs Hillary for the election, I think they're getting it wrong on this "story."
I don't think most people care that he had an affair with a pornstar, in fact we expect that kind of behavior from him. I also don't think most people care that he paid her off and a significant amount of folks probably don't care if he or someone else including his lawyer broke campaign finance laws by doing so. Regardless, is this enough to bring down a Presidency? Probably not.
In addition, the media exposes their extremely left leaning hands by legitimizing an pornstar. There's articles out there right now stating that her fight against being slut shamed is inspiring. You talk about a country decaying from within, this is a time to be alive. Cynically I love it in a sense, to see institutions that were held up like bastions of excellence crumbling right before us is a beautiful thing. The President is incompetent and a buffoon, morally reprehensible, and on top of that has brought out the worst from the media exposing them for what they are.
Still though, lets keep it honest, there is no moral high ground to be had by any of the players involved in this story. Not the President, not a pornstar, and certainly not the media.
