The Phoenix Suns have fired coach Mike Budenholzer. Phoenix is now paying three coaches and don’t have one

Is this officially the worst situation in the league? :jbhmm:
Absolutely. Team is in the second apron, has no control over it's own pick for the next 7 years and has no realistic route to contention(they finished 10 games under .500 and 11th in their own conference, what a disgrace)

Maybe the Pelicans are just as bad because they still think Zion's part of the solution, but I can't imagine being a fan of the Suns going forward. They're gonna be bad a longgggg time.

KD is one of the greatest scorers of all time. His leadership though? Meh.... Brooklyn Nets were a mess and now Phoenix as well. That Beal trade, while they tried to win, someone had to make sense and tell the ownership that a Beal and Booker pairing makes no freakin sense:

1. Suns needed depth and they traded for an injury prone guy making their depth problems even worse
2. Beal could veto any trade involving him, that's a no no for this caliber player
3. They fukked up Ayton trade when there was a chance of getting Myles Turner for him

KD just wants to hoop, win and get paid...well since he wanted to do this superteam building, he had to be more involved in all of this. That team had no champion's mentality.

Maybe it's a leadership thing but he has a knack for picking the worst situations. Nets owner is a cuck, Suns owner also a cuck. Ownership is very important, the shyt they do in Golden State is why they won those titles, not just Steph being a generational talent. Lakers, Warriors, OKC, Boston have good ownership that know when to invest and break the salary cap, when to rebuild. Nets and Suns are among the majority of teams that don't know WTF they are doing.

i still think ishbia is an upgrade. in the long run, his way will leave the suns better off, but this is going to be a rough few years
How?

They don't have control of their first round picks until 2032. No young talent. A ton of money tied into a big 3 that can't even get them in the playoffs, with one of them having a no trade clause.

suns are still going to try to fix the roster in the meantime. beal might accept a trade. just a change or two to this badly-built team and getting a new coach can get them some more wins next season. im not saying they will be champions in a few years, but they almost certainly will win more than 36 games.
