I've already stated the Horn was part of Punt but Punt is waaaaaay more expansive than just the Horn and is a general term for East Africa and the countries that contain the Nile. I don't believe it was as uniform or organized Kingdom or anything. White supremacist are clearly trying to proximate it near Yemen for their agenda :manny:

That's a more reasonable proposition. :Cosby:

Puntites could've brought pygmies from other regions :manny:

Slavery has existed in that region for thousands of years so it's not too far-fetched.

It's not a convincing argument IMO.

I'm not seeing anything that establishes these as Puntites and not Egyptians other than a Somali on Egyptsearch claiming it to be so.

I got that from TourEgypt not Egyptsearch.

I think those are Egyptians on the expedition to Punt :yeshrug: Do you have any paintings from Egyptians that depict Bantus as different? We've already talked about the Great Lakes having similar phenotypes found in the Horn just not as concentrated. You can't explain away pygmies, minerals and musical instruments as some sort of coincidence. Heck, the word Punt is argued to be Bantu in origin.

The land of punt used to trade with Asia as well. Primary commodities were incense, spices, gold, not Pygmies and the like.

The Horn is rich in incense and has always been the central link between Asia and Africa in terms of trade:yeshrug:

You have no source on what the primary commodities were in Punt :yeshrug:We don't know the extent of trade between the Great Lakes and Asia but it likely existed during that time as well:manny:

Were Bantus around when the expeditions to Punt took place? :jbhmm:

Didn't the Bantu migration take place 3000-2500 years ago? The earliest expedition to Punt was in the Fifth Dynasty (2500 BC so 4500 years ago or so). So, were the Egyptians trading with Afro-Asiatics, Nilo-Saharans or something else?

pygmy and other prehistoric populations that got absorbed....there is Nilo-Saharan ancestry in many Great Lakes populations so I don't discount that either.

We do know that the Egyptians used to import their incense from Punt. In fact, wasn't the primary objective behind Queen Hatasu's (I think that's her name iirc) expedition to Punt to acquire gum and incense, which the Egyptians used in religious ceremonies?

Puntites were probably ancient Cushytes. This is before the semitization of the region which spawned the habesha.

Nope, but we do know antimony which was used as makeup was found at unusually high levels in female mummies and antimony only comes from one region of Africa:mjgrin:

Cushytes used to inhabit most of East Africa before the Bantu expansion anyway. :yeshrug:

They were still my people :umad:
