Marcia Clark, who was the lead prosecutor in the O.J. Simpson murder case, is blaming Chris Darden for the infamous moment the former football great tried on the bloody gloves during the trial.
"I did not want [Simpson] to try on the evidence gloves. I never did," Clark told "Dateline NBC" in a TV special airing Sunday. "That was [Darden's] call. … I was miserable from the moment that Chris said, 'No, I'm doing this.' And I never expected anything good to come of it."

According to Darden’s memoir, the defense was unconcerned about Hodgman’s health:

TThe defense lawyers were delighted that he was out of the picture. As we left chambers, Cochran, Douglas, and the others could barely contain themselves.
“We almost killed Hodgman,” they joked.
“I guess he couldn’t handle your opening statement,” Douglas said. They laughed like children, the cold, insensitive b*stards.
