Great show btw.

Colin might win a Oscar or 2. You really thought of him as the Penguin. In fact, I could only tell it’s Colin by certain facial expressions that I’ve seen him do before. The eyes but in every other way, dude is Oz.

For example, when he snapped at the nurse. His facial expressions were really that of pure rage.

Now for the episode… 10/10 to me. Wrapped up everything in the season. The Selina tie in :banderas:

The Bat Signal :banderas:

The Batman actually grew on me. I was so interested with the Zack Snyders version because it was close to the games and so close to the animated series with his fighting style and etc.

But this was more like a Graphic novel version of The Batman. Based more in our realm of reality and going back into the dark detective version of Batman. I actually re-watched the movie randomly at like 3 different times which I rarely do.

To see how this connects to the next movie I will be 100% interested. Hangman leveling a whole Gotham city block shows just how wild Gotham seems to becoming and why The Batman will be needed more and more. Crazy that Oz and the Falcones were doing all kinds of wild shyt in the city and Batman never showed up once shows that there is a lot of shyt that goes on in Gotham that Batman doesn’t even know about, can’t be 2 places at once and I think this is along the lines of Year One Batman where he is just now trying shyt out, testing out more advanced equipment, etc. Big players are showing their origins too. Oz, Riddler, Joker (maybe Joker, dude who played him sucks imo), etc.
He’ll win a Grammy for the soundtrack… a tony for the musical adaptation.. Emmy and Oscar’s already on lock.

Honestly, this might be a masterclass in dedication and committment to a character.

On par with Heath Ledgers Joker imo… like, you were thrown off that these handsome dudes will stoop to the levels they stooped into to create these fukked up characters when honestly, most of the villains in the Batman universe are extreme psychopaths if you want to ground them in realism. Like these dudes are supposed to be crazier than what we think crazy is.

Batman was almost in the show, meeting vic, but they didnt feel like a scene like that was earned and just threw stuff off
"Over the course of writing the season, we discussed many times whether or not there might be some cross-through that would feel earned," Reeves tells EW in a separate interview about referencing Pattinson's Batman. "We tried a few different ideas conceptually, nothing that was ever written ultimately, but nothing seemed to quite gel in a way that felt earned." One idea they toyed with was having Bruce Wayne appear before Vic (Rhenzy Feliz), Oz's righthand guy. "But even that ended up throwing things off too much," the filmmaker adds.

"We wanted our characters to be the predominant people that you're following in this show," LeFranc explains. "Anything that started to detract from that wasn't servicing the type of show we wanted to do."

Jesus, Sofia and that body in the dress

That finger cutter, getting one of those would be something else :whew:

I might have to kill Francis too after hearing what she had to say to him before stabbing him if I were Oswald

Oz better become Mayor one day :salute:
