Penguin evil as hell boosted Victor up the whole season, turned him into a killer, told him everyone would remember him only to kill him and rob the last dollars he had and literally threw his name away and he did it on the grounds of not wanting familial weakness meanwhile he is selfishly keeping his mother alive against her wishes:ohlawd: this hurt so good!

Also it wasn’t a surprise he clapped Vic in the finale. The second you see this character as a viewer you think I hope this kid doesn’t die and with Colin saying we’d hate him in the end. There is an acceptance Penguin could kill Sophia since that was the goal but killing Vic is the unforgivable act. The circumstances though make it worse his hand wasn’t forced, Vic didn’t fail him, he didn’t have to choose Vic or his mom. He did it because Vic knew him too much and he was done with him. He is pure trash and everyone who said so has always been right.

Also I watched this brother video two weeks ago talking about Oz’s odipous complex and the hit on something I thought was a reach at the time. He said Penguin with old girl because she looked like his mom and I ain’t see it but the fast forward to penguin dancing with her in his mom dress.

So is the comic book Penguin this ruthless? Or did they just turn him totally dark in here?

Yea past 2 episodes I was even saying that Oz has a weird Freudian love with his mom.

I was deadass internally pleading that Sophia didn't get killed. If OZ shot her, it would've been a real gut-wrencher because she had almost everything in her life go wrong up to that point post-release.

The Gotham crime bosses really made the wrong choice by going with Penguin. Sophia is almost too trustworthy and kind-hearted to be a boss.

Oz’s love is really a complicated thing he loves his mom more than anything else yet he would not admit to leaving his brothers to die even though she already knew and was in danger of losing a finger. He’s also content to leave her as a vegetable knowing that was her biggest fear and promising to kill her if it came to that. Looking back he made the promise to take care of her and put her in a penthouse first so this was always really his dream. He’s is a selfish scumbag and all of his other relationships are purely transactional and he’s okay with it. He’s dancing around and claiming a prostitute and telling her exactly what to say and he’s fine with it.

I always thought he kept Vic around because his disability reminded him of himself but I think it was more of him relating to the lie of himself that he’s a good person in bad circumstances playing the hand he was delt aka a poor kid from the Eastside with something to prove. He has never been good, he’s an arsonist born in a world that was already on fire. It’s a shame how he did Vic I did want to see what he’d become.

Also I don’t think this was the writers trying to make us hate Oz this felt true to what other characters been telling us and what we’ve been seeing that Oz hasn’t been telling us himself because all us who rooted for him and bought into his sales pitch are Victor.
