I mean a joker movie got to 1 billion a few years ago w/o Batman and got good reviews. I would say that worked. Im sure they also said the penguin series couldnt work without batman. so far, 90% of the way with no batman and it's working :yeshrug:

"Origin Story" Been there, done that. Don't think DC would/should go that route. Joker would admit himself that he has no purpose without Batman

Is this not a n origin story for Penguin? This is all building up to him being the penguin we know him to be with power and running his crew and shyt :yeshrug:

Also with how Joker part 2 went by the posts in the Joker 2 thread, Seems Joker one isnt an origin story :lolbron:

Not sure about the guy they got playing Joker tho, they should get the dude who played him on gotham.

keoghan is a good pick, especially against pattinson. he needs very solid writing though.. but he's been playing unhinged mentally ill characters for awhile now. has some things to work on.. and will definitely have to grow into the role if he's going to be one of the greats but he can pull it off for sure
