i'm not necessarily shytting on him, he just kinda does the same thing in most roles. dude has a lifetime HBO contract, so if anyone cameos on Penguin, i'd bet it will be Gordon.

From what was shown in this episode that was not the case until you know what happens, that would break a lot of mothers. She was normal for that whole flashback until the incident. Like Oz said in another episode, she was bedridden for like a month after, give her a break.

Plus add in Oz was always trying to gain her acceptance at all costs probably did some shyt too. THEN add in the later dementia, she is going through it.
