Funny because AMD used to be the lowered power, price/performance king. Maxwell is gonna shake up AMD's stock unless they got a card up their sleeves.
I think the whole mining scene will have AMD comfortable for the foreseeable future.
Unfortunately whenever a company gets comfortable thats usually when problems start to arise...you got people using box fans and all sorts of crazy setups just to get the most hash possible on their card purchases...shyt looks like a server room after a while with all that cooling that has to be put in there.
what would you expect the 790 to be though? two 'lesser' gk110 chips and less memory (than the Titan Z)?

I expected a 790, but I don't think they are gonna go that route anymore. I think they'll continue to push the Titan Z and 780ti.

I'm just speculating but that's what I'd expect or perhaps they don't care about releasing a dual card strictly for gaming with the 700 series. What Titan cards have going for them is there double precision performance which is gimped on the rest of the GK110s. Benefits the compute crowd who work with cuda based applications, not beneficial in the slightest bit to gamers but that won't stop some from buying them for just that.

Yea, it has potential but still a long way to go. I like the mechanics of the game.
I'm keeping an eye on it to see if they will improve it (maybe with a large base they will)
It's free so that's nice.
