Actually had that unit in my hand the other day but decided to go with the HX. It was only a $10 difference for me though.
Isn't it technically the same aside from fully modular?

I'm using it for mining

They're not. Different OEMs, designs, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. I believe the RM is built around being silent, the fan only activates on it once it reaches a certain threshold. It's also compatible with Corsair's Link application where you can see how efficient your system is running via software. The HX is supposed to be the better unit though.

Whenever I buy PSU's I go by JohnnyGuru's reviews and if the price is close I get whichever receives the higher score. In this case the HX got the higher score and the warranty was 7 vs 5 on the RM. I also didn't want to worry about a fan not kicking in on a mining PSU come the summer.

Nah, I been through a few systems since then. That case is actually in my basement collecting dust. I'm thinking of moving my server over to it but I permanently had removed the bottom drive bays the case had to fit a radiator on the bottom part of the case.

Here's my current set up,

Those are 780's. I originally had Titan's there but had returned them once the 780's were out and their performance were confirmed to be within 5%-10%. So went from spending 2k to 1.3k. Since the waterblocks / backplates were compatible with the 780s I just kept them.

@2gunsup I can still cancel and get the HX850. Recommend that over the HM?

Now that I think about it, I'm not comfortable with the zero rpm design for a system running 24x7 on full blast either

1.3k on cards :ohhh:

Guess I am not as heavy in this PC gaming thing that I thought...

But then again I am saving up some money to put together perhaps the last rig I ever will...and it will probably cost me upwards of 3500 total

I'd get the HX, have never had problems with them.

To me its more than just for PC gaming, this is a hobby of mine. One of the least expensive at that. I'm also into cycling, the pricing for PC stuff compared to that pales in comparison.

Copped a $600 dollar bike only to find out it was the GT 640 of the game, :dead:

Mantle is promising brehs... BF4 with it on keeps my framerates much higher and consistently higher too. I'm talking 50-60fps on 64 player matches but now it's a stutter that me and others notice as well.

Oh and I decided to move my desktop into my brother room for a while to see how it's like using the mouse i bought on a desk. MUCH better. Comfort skyrocketed. I mean it's funny how theoretically it would seem like it wouldn't be that much better but simply moving the mouse around feels better on a desk.

Edit: On another fukking note, i don't know why my brother is still using this chair. :dead: Holy break in Batman!! This chair is worn out!!!
