You stay with these monster builds...Nah, I been through a few systems since then. That case is actually in my basement collecting dust. I'm thinking of moving my server over to it but I permanently had removed the bottom drive bays the case had to fit a radiator on the bottom part of the case.
Here's my current set up,

nah breh I'm in a bedroom. I don't like sitting at a desk to play PC games. This isn't 1999 we don't have to be hunched over a table to use a desktop.
you bugging man.
Most games have scaling options for the UI and if not you can usually brute force it through some .ini files. My TV is actually less than 5 ft away from me so It's not as "living roomy" per se.besides ergonomics the other problem with playing in the living room is that pc games dont seem to be optimized for big HDTV's. the text on rust is so small i have to sit right in front of the tv to read it. same with deus ex

neither rust nor deus ex had scaling options. ill try the ini files
Chat text or console text? Cause on PC its hard to read console text as wellbesides ergonomics the other problem with playing in the living room is that pc games dont seem to be optimized for big HDTV's. the text on rust is so small i have to sit right in front of the tv to read it. same with deus ex
There's nothing new school about holding the keyboard on your lap.

I could do that but my room is smaller now. I had to put sheetrock in on the 3rd floor of my house in the living room to make it my own room as it was much bigger before. Getting a desk and chair would clutter up my room. I tried using the mouse again last night and it just feels uncomfortable after a while and I'm not used to aiming with it. Everything feels too fast even with different dpi/sensitivity.There's nothing new school about holding the keyboard on your lap.
If your PC is in the bedroom and it's very small then get ia smaller desk and put it in the corner closest to your TV so you can easily run the hdmi cable. Play FPS on the monitor, kick back and play the rest on the TV with the controller (if you're not a fan of keyboard and mouse).
And the great thing about desk and a chair is you don't have to exclusively use them to 'hunch over'. You can actually sit in the chair, the desk can be used for pen and pencil writing and many other fun activities.
