I just read some reviews. It looks like the benchmarks are similar for certain things. I need to do more investigating though. The 5080 doesn't seem like the card to get if you are trying to upgrade from the 4090. The 5090 is king. I'll go with that, if not for the new DLSS options. I'm running a 4kX2 monitor. I need that extra power. Still, I don't think it will give me what I want. I think 1440pX2 is the way to go. I still have my 1440pX2 OLED monitor collecting dust in my spare room. It looks better overall, but the 4Kx2 is bigger. I want that full immersion. If I'm playing a game, I want the best possible setup. I dunno if I can go back to the smaller 1440pX2. I used to game in 3 monitors. It was this shyt. It was amazing. The 4kx2 is the closest thing out, and no bezels to worry about.
I really just want the best. I even bought all of those body suits and tactile shyt just to play Half-Life Alyx, and it was the shyt. I had on the vest, the arm bands. It was an amazing experience. My problem is I want the best, and I want it now. the 5090 seems like something I should buy. I'll wait for the waterblocks. I'll likely buy it, but I wonder if it will do 4kX2, with all the frame generation and DLSS4. We shall see. I remain skeptical. Once these "Real" 5090s hit ebay, I'm buying one. Right now it's nothing but scammers. Maybe I'll get lucky on a drop. Still, the waterblocks need to come out. That gigabytet might be the best bet
