Well, it looks like I'm gonna have to go to the scalpers on ebay for the 5090, most likely. I'm guessing $2700. Hopefully it's $2500, but probably not.

I think I can get it for $2700 if I am vigilant. There's always somebody lowballing for a quick sale. Week 1 it will be $3k, but weeks 2 and 3 will go down.

I need that waterblock though, so I don't mind waiting. The waterblock will probably cost $500 or $600, so we're looking at over $3k definitely for the new card. It's just the game I guess

I can never get shyt when it first comes out. I've been really unlucky. I got the PS5 pro at launch, but that was only because they made too many of them. I've never been lucky with the first day GPU game. I just wait in line, shyt freezes, I get in finally, and it's sold out.

I think if you have Amazon, Best Buy, B&H, Newegg, pulled up and refreshing on launch day you can get one. When the 3090 TI dropped I was watching the review videos on YouTube and was on Newegg. They all released while I was on there and could’ve had any of them on launch day.

Yeah, you might be right. I'll just wait until the waterblock comes out. I guess that means I gotta get the FE or Nvidia edition (maybe there will be blocks for other cards, but we'll see). I'm not putting that shyt in my setup raw over air

Also, what the fukk is up with still not being able to purchase Spider-man 2 off steam. shyt comes out in like 2 weeks. I want to throw them money for the deluxe edition, but you can't even buy it yet. It's kinda odd

Absolutely because that’s the card everyone wants. The majority of people trying to get a card on launch day will be after the 5080. It’s also going to be the easiest card for the scalpers to make profit on. They can get two 5080s for the cost of one 5090 and they’ll make more once they mark up both cards.

Doesn’t mean you can’t get one. You just gotta put in a bit more effort than normal. Drive to your nearest Micro Center, pull up the Best Buy App and keep the NVIDIA website on refresh, if you’re looking for the FE.
