did you try a previous save or starting over?
Previous save. I passed the tutorial on my Deck, then went back to my gaming pc and everything is working now. Weird bug, but thankfully I had the Deck to fix the issue. I was reading other people have this issue too. Seems like something Bethesda should look into...lol.

It's a fun game. I'm gonna play it after I beat GoW:R

Anyone remember the length of the heads-up the Windows gave before they started charging for Windows 11? I know it was the one year anniversary, but I'm wondering if they gave a few month's notice that they would do this or not. I'm nervous about a price spike in the lead-up, so I want to be ready and save some coin.
Been using a Thinkcenter m81 for 7-8 years & wanna upgrade to a cheap refurbed pre-build w/ W11 capabilities.

I think that any stock processor for a W11-compatible computer will be better than my current one, but otherwise, the sole purpose of the upgrade is to use W11 w/o coming out of pocket for the OS.

I'm not in a rush (I don't mind this continual drop in pricing post-covid), but I don't want to wait too long and have to pay for a W11 license. I can cop a used Optiplex for the low now if need be, but I'd rather stalk prices for a few months and wait for an extreme dip.

IIRC, they made W10 paid-only after a year but they have half the adoption levels of W11 last I heard so my guess/hope is that they pull the trigger on the two-year launch anniversary perhaps 🤔
Just realized this whole post was pointless.

Even when Windows starts charging for W11, refurbs will have it pre-installed by the time I pull the trigger. I'll just bide my time and get more bang for my buck in 2025 when W10 loses support

I ordered a wooden 8U server rack for all my networking gear.

I’m thinking of buying or building a server. But it has to be living room friendly.

Anyone else got a Synology NAS and the bytch just all of a sudden can't be connected to? It's not visible on the network even when connected by Ethernet directly to my computer.

Factory reset the settings.

Have you been keeping it updated and secure? There’s been news of attacks on Synology devices, it’s all over the Synology sub-Reddit.

I was getting ready to go that route. It was a little out of date.
Something gotta be wrong with the Ethernet. Tried different cables, both ports, direct connection to router and computer. It just won't show up on the network. I'll have to try and get it replaced if it's in warranty.
