LAPTOP QUESTION...

Thinking of getting my nephew an ASUS Chrome book Flip C434 2-In-1 laptop, 14" screen, 8GB RAM.

How's this for gaming? Also, he does alotta stuff on Zoom so he needs something that will allow him to use a virtual background....

Black Friday sale, I can get this jawn for $599.

Help me out....?
I don't think you can do much gaming on a chromebook unless you have a streaming service (stadia, geforce now, not sure if xbox service is available yet).

It looks like it's $528 on amazon.

Most definitely. shyt it’s worth it for ME to upgrade and I have a 2080ti. Only issue is that I would rather wait for the extra VRAM version in the 3080ti. That is a more sensible upgrade for me specifically.

I hope NVIDIA allows people to pre-order the 3080ti. Based on how they launched the 3070, 3080, and 3090 I have my doubts. :francis:

I caved in bought a 3090 from FB marketplace. 3080’s are going for 400-600 over where has the 3090 is fairly close to original price. I want to play cyberpunk with ray tracing with 100 FPS + and the 6900xt will not support ray tracing for cyberpunk during launch.

I copped an AMD GPU just to see what its like compared to NVIDIA, to decide if I would get the 6900 XT, and I glad I decided to get a cheap AMD first before I cashed out the 6900 XT, NVIDIA is just better, nothing wrong with the AMD cards, NVIDIA is just better PC gaming is built around NVIDIA cards, a lot of games have features and settings you can only use with NVIDIA cards, raytracing won't be on the consoles for cyberpunk for a year so that's probably how long its gonna take for the 6900 XT have higher FPS in some games isn't enough for me to switch
I'm taking this shyt back to best buy, as we speak I already my 3080 got my money back and some shyt, I'ma cop a 3090 when it goes back in stock, but I ain't in a rush, I might even wait a year or two it depends how good cyberpunk is, I'll wait to see user reviews

I'm really considering pulling the trigger on the 3090 to upgrade into an all in one content creation / gaming machine. Might consider selling this 5800x and shooting for at least a 5900x if thats the case. I guess I'm really just waiting on nvidia to officially confirm the 3080ti release date
You will get it closer to MSRP than the 3080 or 3070. A lot of people bought 3090 who have no business buying it. I bought the Q800T and not sure if I'll get a 6900XT anytime soon. I'm in gaming mode - raytracing on ps5 and XSX has moved me, 2080Ti is limiting now :hubie:

I’m kinda annoyed at the dishonesty from reviewers when it comes to the 6800 and 6900xt. How is the 6700xt a better buy than the 3080 when it only performs better at like 1080p where it’s stupid anyway cause no one is copping these cards to play at 1080p. Add in the fact that the shyt performs worse than a 2080ti with Raytracing and these comparisons ain’t even taking DLSS into effect. In which when enabled is blowing them AMD cards out of the water. I’m convinced these nikkas just like new shyt or somethin. I mean the main reason to cop a new high end GPU these days would be for high resolutions, Ray Tracing and performance.
That is all that needs to be said. 1080P performance means very little to me today.
It depends. I don't believe AMD or Nvidia are selling these cards anywhere near the prices they have shown us. At launch; yes but later on there's no way. Until the next line of cards come out we will not see MSRP.
Expecting 3070 - 600-750 range, 3080 - 800-950 range, rtx 3090 1500-1800. AMD AIB cards will follow with the 6800 being like the 5700; which will remain MSRP or a little above. 6800XT - 750, 6900XT - 1100.

Bro if u got a dope GPU already I would wait until that 3080ti announcement. That’s what I decided to do. I’m just gonna game wit my 2080ti until then.
This is the generation to buy maybe not for a 2080ti to 3080. But anyone else in the market whose has a 2080 and lower, should look to upgrade if they can.

I only want the 6900XT for 8K gaming. But after seeing multiple test of games that I will play on PC with a TV, 16GB in many cases is not enough.

I honestly feel like I’m being trolled when I see these tech reviewers talk about how AMD GPU’s are killing Nvidia’s and then try to show me some 1080p shyt while showing me NVidia still beat their cards at 4K and straight up demolish them with Raytracing. On top of the fact that they ain’t even showing the comparisons with DLSS enabled but showing comparisons with AMD’s SAM enabled. I get it. Theirs CPU’s are dope but Nvidia’s runs this GPU shyt. And it’s not just about power. It’s about drivers, stability, and features.

They use it because it will show the biggest difference which the audience wants to see. 1440p should be the new standard. The problem with directly going to 4K - a very small window of Pc gamers use 4K to Pc game.

I think my gpu is dying.
Whats the best card for current graphics at 1080p? I'm looking at the 2070

What kind of games do you play and what is the refresh rate of your monitor ? From just a pure technical standpoint unless your 1080p monitor is a 100hz or higher then the answer would be the cheapest 2070 you can get...

I got a 2080 ti and a 60hz 4k monitor...it murders every game I play except rdr 2 and it murders that if I do a combo of high and med graphics settings, which at 4k is all you really need. I would like to get a 3000 series card...but from a techncial standpoint there is no point right now since the 2080 ti i have gets the most out of all the games i play except 1...
