I brought mines from best buy and it was the same price as the 55 inch, I brought the 48 inch because I'm using it as a PC gaming monitor not a TV
It was still in the 1800 range when I looked last on Amazon at the 55. I planned on holding out for a deal on the 48 because I really wasn't trying to pay 1500. Decided to pull the trigger now, though, since the 55 is cheap enough. I had some rewards points saved up so that handled tax and a little more :ehh:. I've been handing Amazon a grip of money the past 2 months.

Just built my first rig

EVGA 850W Bronze PSU
MSI B550 Gaming Edge Wifi
Ryzen 5 3600X
16 GB Corsair DDR4 3200 MHZ RAM
GTX1080
Samsung 970EVO+ M.2 500GB (copy of original OS drive)
Samsung 860EVO SSD 500GB (books/6certs stuff)
2x 250GB SSDs - ( games)

i can tell this might get addicting. im already thinking about building an Intel system with Comet Lake or Rocket Lake .

Props.. I hope it works for me since I’m in Canada... i found a seller in Canada that has stock so I’m returning the monitor I bought and copping this next week :wow:

4k 120hz oled gaming :ahh: finally

Imma let you come to your own conclusion, but on my end, shyt is just different :wow: even without taking OLED into account because I played on the B7 before this one

Copped that Asus VG27AQ 1440p monitor over the weekend brehs as it was on sale from BBY. shyt is glorious :banderas: Been missing out all this time running sub $130 CAD monitors for my dual screen setup.

Did my first build over the summer to replace the old laptop. Maybe 20 years since I was a teen, heh. Even then never really did one from scratch. It's mainly for Photoshop/AI and heavy multitasking for my small business but figured I'd want to game a bit when in office and not downstairs in living room. Just COD, really.

R5 3600
B450 Tomahawk MAX
Gaming X 1660 Super
16GB G.Skill Ripjaws
500GB WD M.2 750SN with heatsink. Have a few HDDs attached but will migrate those to an SSD. Old photos and shyt.
Seasonic Focus 750 gold semi-modular - honestly thought this was overkill, but at the time Amazon and Canada Computers were bone dry for lower wattage PSUs. Kindly glad now that I got this one if I decide to jump into this 3080 hoopla.
Fractal Design Meshify C case

and then of course some Deepcool RGBs (top mount/exhaust) as I wanted to go with a theme so based it off of the HitGOAT colour sceme. Pic in spoiler. Intake fans are stock from the case.

Overall happy with the build. Was expecting the 1660S to choke itself when I bumped it to 1440P but it handled Warzone well with most things set to high/ultra. Maintained solid 60-70 fps. Question will be case real estate if I get one of them 3080s. Intake fans may need to be moved up/down for clearance.

Thanks for the tips in here brehs.

1300 :scusthov: but most people are selling the same card for $1800+ So I’m happy
Breh that is great if you got it for that, because that's basically retail MSRP after taxes since most are 1049-1149 CAD pre HST. Which card?

Most I've seen on Kijiji and FB Marketplace are min 1600-1800. And the 1600 ones were all opened for "testing"

Some guy put up the 3080 FTW3 Ultra on Amazon.ca for 3K cad, kept dropping it a bill every few hours, looks like it sold once it hit 2400 CAD, so basically made double the profit :wow: Even his shop name was "sorry for scalping" lol - I'm still 9/24 on the EVGA notify waitlist, never seeing that thing till new year :dead:
