Ay brehs can ya'll drop game on a newbie to this PC shyt. I'm tryna build my first computer, been doing a lot of reading/YouTube watching but its so much info out there and shyt seems to be constantly changing.

Mainly trying to just do a basic home theater build, but I'm kinda on a budget at the moment (trying to do this for under $600 if possible)... for 4K TV/movies/streaming (Kodi/Netflix, etc.). Doesn't need to be anything super charged. Just some real basic shyt that will let me reliably stream. Not gonna do much gaming on it.

Any knowledge ya'll could kick my way about parts to keep an eye out on would be much appreciated/repped.
System Builder - Ryzen 3 2200G 3.5GHz Quad-Core, GD09B HTPC - PCPartPicker - build cost is $487.57 (2400g - will cost 60 dollars more)

You will need to spend about 800-900 to play video games in 4K but if you are really scrapped for cash here is the build.

Ryzen 2200/2400g (you don't need a gpu) and you don't need to buy an additional cpu cooler (intel stock coolers are trash) and it can stream 4k videos, I also included a htpc case which I use myself 1 for my streaming and another has a server rack-case. It's a great size and fits under any TV table. I suggest when you can find the funds, spend another 80 dollars on the same ram so you can have 16gb later on if you decide you want to use this pc has a computer (not just plex/kodi/netflix/gaming). Then finally when you can find 300 dollars get a 1060 6gb

Here is a video for why I would get a 2400g (barely any better than a 2200g - you will not notice the difference) than a intel i5 8400 cpu at it's price point (this test includes a nvidia 1060 6gb) -

make sure the motherboard you buy is up to date with it's bios (if you get the 2200g/2400g)

Also if you have a microcenter near by or an hour away - go here. If something goes wrong, it is easily returnable. www.microcenter.com - check for locations

Breh you are killing me with the heatsinks on a locked cpu :dead:

I think he should just go stock, but if not just grab the H7
CRYORIG H7 Tower Cooler For AMD/Intel CPU - Newegg.com
8 gen of intel consumer grade chips are running very hot, anyone using a standard intel cooler on a i5 8400 while streaming or gaming is out of their mind

Heh, I had an issue that befuddled me for the longest. My Dell Monitor S2716DG was randomly blacking out for less than a second and I just couldn't figure it out(thus far.) Uninstalling, reinstall drivers, making sure the cable was display port certified etc nothing worked. I then made a Reddit account and someone mentioned if I have my PC on a carpet. Well, i did.. I then brought home a nicely cut piece of wood from a warehouse at my job and disconnected everything, made sure the PC was discharged of any electricity and cleaned up the wires in the back of the PC. I then haven't had any black out in like a week. shyt is crazy.

On carpet omg, all the dust breh
