:merchant:

do you have another TV/monitor to test so you can confirm it's the monitor? could be the gpu, or even the cable
The thing is it only happens when I play certain games. It never happens at the desktop during normal use. It never happened when I played using HDMI on my HDTV so it must be the Display Port call, the monitor or free sync ?

see if you can find anyone with a similar issues

one time I was having issues with my PC. I thought my HDD was failing, or my PSU didn't have enough juice (I had just installed a new gpu). I went through a bunch of shyt to backup stuff. turned out is was just a bad SATA cable :francis:

Idk breh, i thought display port was digital. I plugged it both up to my Monitor and TV and the flicker only happened on the monitor so it could be the cord.

I'm just saying try to eliminate cables and such as the cause before you go through the trouble of RMA'ing your monitor

That's damn near the exact rig I built except I got a GTX 1060 and 16 GB of RAM, even got the same monitor :wow: the colors & contrast on this monitor are beautiful :mjcry:

You guys install games on the SSD drive or the HDD?
I install pretty much everything on the SSD. only low-spec indie type games on the HDD

some games, like Arma, really benefit from the SSD because of how they stream assets. and it will speed up load times and such for all games

I have 3 SSD's :guilty:

changes to Steam's gifting system:

STEAM GIFTING CHANGES
MAY 3 - KRISTIAN
Today we’re announcing changes to gifts on Steam. The gifting process has had a bunch of friction in it for a while, and we want to make it easier for you to share the games you love with friends. Steam Gifting will now be a system of direct exchange from gift buyer to gift receiver, and we will be retiring the Gift to E-mail and Gift to Inventory options. Here's a quick breakdown of benefits from the new system:

Scheduling Gifts Is Even More Straightforward
Go ahead and buy a gift months in advance and have it delivered to a friend on time, every time.

Declined Gifts Resolve The Way They Should
In the old system, a declined gift would sneak back into the giver's inventory and remain on their bill. Now, if a recipient already has the title, or just doesn't want it, they can click decline and the purchase is refunded directly to the gift giver.

Safe Cross-Country Gifting
No more worrying if a Gift to E-mail or Gift to Inventory is going to work for a friend, gifts sent through the new system will always work on the receiver's account. When there is a large difference in pricing between countries, gifting won't be available and you'll know before purchase.

These changes are now available. Please let us know if you see any issues or have any feedback.

Note: Pre-existing gifts will be unaffected by this change.

really sucks you can't buy the game as a gift and store it in your inventory anymore :francis:

it was a nice option for a few reasons. but I guess getting rid of it cuts down on the grey-market
