:wtf:
I remember reading the credits and seeing that her name was Celeste and don't remember seeing a last name. She looked black on the video. This was one of my favorite joints from 2003 because I've always loved the Toto sample and it was on Rap City every day. I just discovered tonight that she is white . I got her last name from the youtube comments and looked her up to see what she was doing. The camera work, makeup, hair, and wardrobe in the video made her look black. Apparently, she's been doing a lot of work in hollywood and left the hip hop shyt alone.

If I recall correctly, this was the first video the audience ever shytted on on 106 & Park when it debuted as the "new joint of the day."
well, I've never been a fan of Ja rule, but I think this song would have been a hit had the 50 not been backed by interscope. People forget that Ja and 50 had been beefing for YEARS prior to GRODT and only when 50 aligned himself with Interscope/eminem did Ja rule's records start getting taken off the radio and the mainstream fans turned their back on him. The same thing that happened to Ja, happened to 50 when he helped put Kanye over(wasn't a real beef though). Yeah, hip hop is a shytty game that i don't know why anyone would want to get in it nowadays.

I remember watching 106 & Park when Gorillaz- Clint Eastwood was new joint of the day. The audience didn't like it at all. I remember one girl said, "Ice Cube need to get his cousin."

I only remember this cause I was at sleep away camp for the summer and we'd watch 106 & Park instead of TRL and the white kids would be mad. I remember one dude was all:gladbron: when they played the Gorillaz song. Then when they cut back to the audience and everyone shytted on it he was:damn:

Nah, Ja Rule started putting out trash

His first 3 albums were good, then the quality started to go down

There was also a saturation with Ja Rule: dude was everywhere betweeen 2001 and 2003.

Of crouse, 50 clowning him did not help.

Those shyts weren't that hot either haha. Music was really no different. I thought all of it was borderline average and below aside from the first album. He had gone full pop star. The same with Da Baby. I've always thought that dude was just pure garbage. He's putting out the same trash ass music now that he always has. The only difference is that he started talking about fakkits and his career ended.
