so someone should play every last game before they buy it? or does this "rule" only apply to sony games?

YES... it's called gamefly or $2 at redbox... you don't have to buy EVERY game... but i promise you.. i have bought 3 games... but played every single one on the ps4 minus maybe 5... if i never played most, and went off reviews... i'd probably have about 15

playing a game for 2 hours straight will tell you quickly if you plan on playing it for 365 days or more... i'd rather spend $1 than 59 plus tax

It's always safe to assume someone who has paid money for something will lean towards liking it more than disliking it.

I`d rather take the opinion of someone who has nothing vested into the venture. This is why message boards are a bad place to go for reviews, most people really need that game to be good to justify spending the $

It's like when you go out to eat, and the meal ain't that good, you gonna try and play it off like it's okay cause you just dropped 20-30 bucks a plate, but surely a week later when that financial commitment is out of your head, you can be honest about that trash ass dinner.

these reviews are disappointing, I am going to probably pass on this one, IM not surprised though, games are not the way they were back in the day, a bunch of watered down $60 content that forces you to pay to play by paying money for things that should be free in a game in the first place..

I agree, but the issue is that many of these "sites" are vested due to advertising and not wanting to ruffle the feathers of publishers. No site that is getting major advertising for a game is gonna shyt on it. Seen it wayyyyy to often especially since last gen.

And you also have blantant bias at times with sites as well with certain franchises. :kermitnunya:

At least on here, I know cats who have the same interests in certain types of games I like and who's opinions I trust more so that videogame "journalists".

An example of this was Driveclub. After seeing the review scores, I got skeptical as fukk and backed out on my preorder. Then upon listening to @Fatboi1 's impressions of the game, I decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I did. Because the game is beautiful and great.

I'll take it a step further.....if I had decided to cop a Larrybox at launch, I would have bought Ryse. yes it got shytted on, but I like those types of games.

my point is i don't trust reviewers... it's like funk flex telling me an album is gonna be hot... how in the fukk do i know how much he was paid for that?? how do i know he even really listened to the whole damn thing?? how do i even know i line up with his tastes??


i'd rather come to a group of people i speak to regularly.. who seem to generally have the same tastes as me... who i can pretty much KNOW have no ulterior motives... who will tell me in layman's terms... is the shyt fun or nah??




once i read the 15th GTA review... saying the same points, from playing the same dev set up levels, and giving out info directly from the devs.... only to have the game drop and it be a bunch of lies.... then stories drop all year how much these dudes are coddled, sent money, free games, and free systems for their "unbiased" reviews.... nah i don't really pay attention to reviews of ANYTHING.... movies, music, tv shows, video games.... that don't come real people i know and respect

Fun so far. Traded in Infamous and Dragon Age and got this for 15$

Platinumed Infamous and put 80 hours into Dragon Age so I got my moneys worth on em. Wal mart gave me 30 for Dragon Age and 15 for Infamous, both of which I got for cheap trading in other games, we'll see how it pans out only like 40 minutes in so far.

Here's the deal though, that payola shyt and the dishonest reviews, that usually is in play to make a game look great.

When a game gets bad reviews, to me that shyt is pretty honest.

Unless you think Microsoft is on some psy-ops shyt and paying off game reviewers to trash a game, and that's even silly because what most people trash about the game seem to be just plain facts. Length being one of them
