So I'm on chapter 4.
So far I'm enjoying it but it does have a few rough spots. The one area with the lycâs running towards was poorly done. And another spot where rebels just kept respawning from the same area over and over for what seemed forever was also poorly designed.
At the same time the game is drop dead beautiful. Not just graphixally but the art style as well. The gameplay so far is actually decent.
For a first console game from RAD this pretty decent. I get the critiscisms but the media seem to act like the order raped their mothers.
So far its a 7/10. I hope the game sells well and that RAD takes the reviews to heart and really improves for a sequel. There is a really great game in here, they just need some improvements.
Exactly. The same clowns that ripped Ryse to shreds, despite the AMAZING visuals and admittedly boring gameplay will somehow find a way to love this game. If you love this game but hated Ryse, your a fukking hypocrite, especially since Ryse actually had a fun multiplayer.I have a few statements on this game
1) This is almost the exact parallel to the Xbox fans version of Ryse. The fact of the matter is, it appears that outside of visuals, it adds nothing to the gaming industry with respect to innovation. (Definitely looking forward to counter points to this) I'm tempted to pull up old comments on Ryse to see where every one places their stance...My gut is telling me that there are hypocrites on both sides of the console wars.
2) I also will say that this IP has promise to be the inverse of the Gears of War trajectory. I've seen this game & if sales are good enough considering the complaints, I imagine that the more the sequels, the better this IP will get. With the dedication to detail, power of the PS4 & an ear open to gamer complaints...it's scary what this game can become.
That was what i hated about UC1. Thanks for clarifying that.I'm also on chapter 4 and I feel like this game is similar to how UC1 was on the ps3.
The enemy waves were annoying as they just kept coming at you endlessly.. I also have complains about the story, it seems kinda convulated.

That's what I was saying. Good to see I'm not alone in this thought. So I'm on chapter 4.

The difference between Ryse and The Order is Ryse has more gameplay the gameplay is just trash.I have a few statements on this game

There's nothing really wrong with the gameplay in The Order. The gunplay is satisfying some of the weapons are nice. It just doesn't have a lot of gameplay in it. It also doesn't do anything new of different.
With Ryse the actual gameplay of it puts me off to the game itself. constantly fighting the same 3-4 character models pressing the same buttons over and over again. The big burly looking guy who's a little chunky and you have to break his guard. I've fought like three or four of them at the same time simultaneously. There's no real depth to the combat system either. You're just dispatching these fools over and over again repetitively until you run through the level. I'm talking about this guy

At least with The Order in the same vein as Uncharted the gameplay was serviceable enough to not ruin my enjoyment of the product. The Order is the kinda game I don't mind playing. With Ryse I'd rather just watch somebody else play it on Youtube.
Nah. Y'all just going out of your way to defend this shyt cause its a Playstaion game. That's what I was saying. Good to see I'm not alone in this thought.
When you'd rather be watching a cut scene than playing the actual game there's a problem. That's how Ryse makes me feel I wish this level would end so I can get back to the cut scenes.
These dudes seem to ignore that. They keep trying to group them together because of the score similarity which is dumb. I guess if one likes Ryse, they should like every other game that's in the same score bracket or higher right?? Knack and anything higher critically should all be good games if you like Ryse.
Rep
That's a damn lie. When you can stand at one point in the corner of the stage and pick off the enemies as they all run to the same spot to get shot, then the gameplay is not "just fine"The difference between Ryse and The Order is Ryse has more gameplay the gameplay is just trash.

Y'all are doing a disservice to uncharted by claiming this game is anywhere near as good.At least with The Order in the same vein as Uncharted the gameplay was serviceable enough to not ruin my enjoyment of the product. We got plenty of much better games from 2014 that are seen as "trash" or "disappointments" and y'all have no problem with that. But when it comes to the order y'all wanna defend it any say "its not that bad"
In reality games like UC1 sitting at 80, and the order is worse in every way 10 years later. 65 is actually a pretty good score in that context, they're lucky they got that.

And that's without talking about the sole boss fight in the game which is not only horrible, but repeated.
And that's without even talking about how they dictate which/when you can use guns.
And that's without even talking about the dumb ass insta fail stealth sequences.
There's plenty wrong with the combat in the order.
The order has the same shallow enemy/combat encounters.
