couldnt believe Al didnt offer Bandy, its just a small peak into recruiting evaluations gone wrong. and even the hits were poorly coached

just look at that vid Alex just posted, the players have a different look already. the lines were fat last year, Norton and McIntosh still had the baby weight and the OL just looked sloppy. Odogwu and Gall played like they looked, hopefully they gain some agility and the highly rated guys like Darling/McD and Linder step up. Njoku has added weight and maintained speed, Brad has put on some solid weight, off season program seems to be paying off.

this is, without question the weirdest schedule ive seen in my 22+ years following the program. nothing until week 5, then 3 ranked teams in a month. we have alot of time to figure out rotations, and get young guys game reps.
my favorite part of that video was seeing Kaaya hit a throw on what looked like a roll out...or he was at least on the move :pachaha:

their defense will be better this year, with the potential to be REALLY good. Dalvin Cook is.....incredible. it will be tough with the LBs having basically zero experience. Canes def had a chance to beat them the last 2 seasons. if Kaaya could have put together a 4th quarter drive in either year.

FSU is strong this year, but they have their fair share of question marks as well. They are one LB injury from being in trouble at that position. Their receivers have been whatever, despite their high recruiting rankings. New quarterback, who is talented but its never easy to just plug and play in Jimbo's offense. I think if we keep Cook under 100, we win...easier said than done but definitely doable. I know FSU has been stacking chips, especially with Miami and UF being in a slump, but the only FSU team that was scary good was the 2013 team. 2014 and 2015 haven't been so great, I still believe Jimbo is overrated and lucky that his two in-state rivals are in a slump and he snagged the best college QB in the last 10 years.

Oh and Kaaya the only reason we were in those games breh, if anyone is to blame for the two close losses its D'Onofrio with his lame ass defensive scheme and Golden's soft ass mentality.

Still Lost Juedy who is a stud best WR down here :ohhh:

Cook is gonna Cook we just have to try to contain him hopefully our Dline keep him at bay.
FSU defense is :whoo: Darwin Sweat they wont let up Kaaya has to have a real break out game and dont let up the gas like Golden fukk ass did last year.

Yeah man, I said in 2 years, those recruits will be ours. shyt won't happen overnight. And it will always be the case that some players choose to leave, that's how it be, especially when a school is dominating like Bama. Jerry Jeudy ain't gonna make or break us.

The ones that hurt are the Hargreaves (Vince Wilfork used to babysit that nikka as a kid), Mackensie Alexanders, Amari Coopers, etc. kids who should've been Canes and no excuse otherwise

Colbert seems to be really tearing it up in camp, i didnt know about him playing corner (played S mostly at Texas) but getting good feed back. really needed another vet back there to go with Corn

Maurice Smith did end up getting to go with Kirby @ UGA, but its ok at least we got 1 grad transfer. Ryan Mayes has also gotten some love from the coaches, ill be interested to see how Jaquan figures in to the equation. obviously hes the first S off the bench, but he has to figure in to the plans beyond that

looks like we got 6 serviceable corners: Elder, Redwine, Colbert, Mayes, Jaquan, Malek Young

very terrible for a Miami team but without injuries *crosses fingers* we can be okay with that until the stud 2017 and 2018 classes arrive. And with Coach Kool coaching the DL and attacking the QB the corners will have an easier job I hope

think the weight will help with those 25+ yarders too, get a little more direct instead of relying on all touch. McIntosh looks like a totally different person, i wouldnt have guessed that was even him shyt is crazy

Walton looks like hes ready for his star turn, i like Yearby, whose had a great camp, but i just think Walton is the star among the backs. Yearby tried to put on too much weight, really took away his breakaway plays. need more big chunks in the run game

CB has bee spotty for years, the next 2 classes will fix that but until then its just about avoiding injury. only signing 1 in this class was a killer, Byrd screwed us big time. just have to develop who we have, and see what Henderson/Bandy/Dallas etc bring as youngins next year. future is bright for the position, but it was neglected for 3 classes it cant be fixed overnight. we signed 2 or less corners in 3 different years shyt just made no sense limited numbers or not. you cant have 5 TE's and 5 corners :heh:

I think I'm most excited about seeing how much the DL will improve. the talent is there. the coach is now there as well.

if the defense can keep the penalties down, and learn how to tackle they might be good.

the OL...also, if they can cut down the stupid penalties.

yeah I think Walton will end up being the better of the 2. crazy, isn't he supposed to be a true freshman now?

vid also was the debut of Marquez Williams, 36 with the truck on ILB Mike Smith :damn:

6' 280, grad transfer i think Georgia Southern? i guess with Gage Batten recovering Richt wanted another fullback. moves well for 280 :ehh:

some recaps The Work: August 15th practice recap (DL featured)

**Redshirt sophomore Gerald Willis said today that Manny Diaz installed some new plays today, including a package that includes Willis as the defensive tackle in passing downs. Willis added that McIntosh has been the other DT with him in that package.

**Freshman DE Joseph Jackson was not available to the media, but he has made major progress over the last couple of practices. I asked a couple of his teammates about what theyve seen in the lengthy defensive end.

Chad Thomas: By the time he gets to his last year, hes going to be one of the best defensive linemen ever (from Miami). He has the body, he just has to get the mind.

**What is Richt looking for in his punt and kick returners?

A lot of people want the most prolific return man, but I want the most dependable one first. If he happens to be the most prolific as a runner and a guy who could stick it in the end zone, then great, said Richt.

According to Richt, Braxton Berrios, Stacy Coley, Malcolm Lewis, Sam Bruce, Corn Elder are rotating as returners right now. He said theyre teaching Bruce.

Mark Walton, Gus Edwards, Berrios, Coley, and Corn Elder are at kick return. Richt said that Edwards would be the off-return man, but that if the ball goes his way, he will return it.

im not really a fan of Richt's return policy, but i understand it. we have enough dynamic guys that the steady one can also take one back, im not a fan of Elder and Walton doing returns. hopefully Bruce earns the coaches trust soon, Berrios could work on punts im not sure about KO's

Walton was too north-south on returns, will be interesting to see if that changes. Coley was amazing as a FR, but hes too valuable to use there.

FSU is beatable, look at how close we were the last 2 years with Golden. Richt wins that game last year

OL will be better for Brad, and defensively just force Maguire into action. respect Cook, keep 8 in the box and see if he can put up some points. i respect their talent level, but without a top QB im not scared of them at all

Maguire aint gonna play against Miami and we've beat yall last year without a top level QB and arguably our QB this year will be eons better than our QB last year...And besides we have a better overall team this year than last year, our defense is gonna maul the shyt outta stiff ass Kaaya
