VP of publishing Meridith Braun told the site, "We're happy to see Microsoft shift its attitude on independent development for their new system. We'd be silly not to consider Warframe for Xbox One now. The system itself will be awesome and now the landscape of games that it supports has just become limitless. Exciting times."

I actually hope they come through. I loved the ME3 multi, and after watching some people play on Twitch this looks like a good replacement.:smugbiden:

Smart Match Finds the Perfect Players for the Perfect game
Smart Match on Xbox One is completely reengineered for a new generation of gaming – using advanced algorithms to pair players based on skill, language, and now reputation. It’s smarter, faster and optimized to help you play with exactly the people you want, when you want. The advanced party system goes far beyond the beacons of Xbox 360, which was limited to people you already knew. Helping you discover and connect easily with players is now central to the experience. In addition, for the first time, games will be able to share player stats with Xbox Live and each other; to learn, evolve, and provide you with the best possible matchmaking available.

The results? Titles have the ability to match you with other players based on reputation (which we will be talking more about in a post tomorrow), skill, language, age, and even your specific gameplay style. You won’t find yourself in way over your head but you’ll always have a good challenge.

Smart Match Frees Up Your Time

With Smart Match, you can do whatever you want while Xbox One finds your perfect match. This means that less popular multiplayer modes and maps that have traditionally taken a long time to find players suddenly become playable. Because Snap mode is a core feature of Xbox One that lets you do two things at once, you no longer have to wait in lobbies while Xbox Live is matchmaking for you. One friend can even set up matches for your whole party.

While Xbox Live is matchmaking, you’re untethered and free to do what you want, like watch TV or check out your favorite website or apps while waiting for your next game. If you’re playing digital games, you can even play one game while Smart Match prepares a second. This freedom to break out of waiting in lobbies and do whatever you want is what separates Xbox One from systems that don’t have a way to instantly switch between tasks.
Smart Match Lets You Know When Your Game is Ready
After you or a party member inputs the criteria for your perfect game, do something more fun than waiting; it’s up to you. Play another game, find some new downloadable content, or jump on Reddit. Take yourself as many touch points away from the matchmaking process as you can and you still don’t need to worry about finding your way back. Once Xbox One is done finding your perfect match, it will prompt you with a simple toast—no matter where you are or what you’re doing—so you can jump straight into playing.
If you’d like to learn more about Smart Match, check out Major Nelson’s interview with Micheal Dunn, Program Manager on Xbox Live Services, and this detailed piece about Smart Match.

Microsoft will ‘reintroduce’ the Xbox One at press event

by safesaver">Microsoft will ‘reintroduce’ the Xbox One in a live press event that is intended as a fresh start in their relationship with the media and consumers. They will directly address the concerns about the Xbox One and start generating positive momentum in time for the November launch.

According to an inside source after the E3 conference there was a massive and frantic ‘internal review’ of every aspect of the Xbox One compared to Sony’s direction with PlayStation.

The 24 hour check-in and disc-DRM policy was reversed to prevent the negative press becoming so widespread that it damaged the Xbox brand. Every other criticism has also been examined to see if it can be improved. Multiple changes have been made and Microsoft feel confident in a product they know the public will respond well to.

There have been discussions about creating price parity between Xbox One and PlayStation 4 by reducing the Xbox One price to $399/€399. Conversation has centred on bigger losses per unit sold versus loss of sales traction.

Microsoft will make public their plans for Gamescom later this week. It’s expected they will be hosting a press event presented by Phil Spencer, the vice president of Microsoft Game Studios and Phil Harrison, the corporate vice president of Interactive Entertainment.

I have no problem with $499, and a price drop aint likely. If they want to justify the price difference, put a year of Live, a Play and Charge kit, or a headset in the box.

the Day 1 Bundles get a free year of live I thought?

But they'll need to throw a headset in the box at a minimum and a free year of live for all "launch period" Xbox ones if they are gonna "relaunch"

Just goes to show that they fukked up majorly

Microsoft 'looking into' including headsets with Xbox One

Microsoft is "looking into" bundling headsets with Xbox One console, according to Albert Penello, senior director of product planning at the company.

The platform holder has previously said that the Kinect bundled with every Xbox One is intended to provide the console with out-of-the-box in-game chat capabilities, in place of a headset which will be sold separately.

However, Penello's response to a query from a Twitter user indicates Microsoft may be considering the alternative.

In May it was reported that Xbox One's proprietary data port is not compatible with current-gen by safesaver">gaming headsets. This meant that current headsets by leading accessory manufacturers, including popular high-end headsets from Turtle Beach, will not work with Xbox One.

Microsoft later said it is working on a solution to allow third-party peripheral compatibility with Xbox One. A Microsoft Australia spokesperson explained why current peripherals won't work with the Xbox One out of the box:

"The Wireless Controller has been redesigned to allow for higher data transfer speed between the controller and the console," said the rep. "This also required creating a new expansion port design for by safesaver">headsets and future controller add-on devices which is different from a standard audio plug input.

"Xbox plans to develop solutions in the near future to allow consumers to connect many brands of wired gaming headsets to the Wireless Controller for gaming and chat audio."

Microsoft isn't stupid this is what all this proves. The headset shoulda came out the box from the get go. I would love to see an extra controller or 1 yr Xbox live tho. The one year Xbox live is more feasible in "their" favor because it would allow people to eat will at the gold services provided.

The suits at MS just wanted to take advantage of their supposed "dumb" consumers thinking that anything Xbox will make them buy (trying to be like Apple basically). The shyt backfired horribly and they backpedaling like crazy because of the sales hits they know they will be facing. It's that simple.

It's about cost analysis... You either get that or you don't. It didn't "backfire" the hardware is still in the Xbox it's just turned off. Xbox is obviously willing to be innovative they just need to do it in doses.

Keep wondering what the ps4 can do tho breh :russ:
