I dont know how far that is true but I also heard the same. While I like Carrick as a player and I really rate him it was very disappointing to hear he made that demand. Who the hell does he think he is?

He was fed up of being fukked around because people want to make the Gerrard & Lampard axis work, so he was like nah its alright. I dont blame him, because add Scott Parker to the mix he never had a chance. Buts hes the only player of that type we have who doesnt really care much about goin forward and who can dictate the tempo, even tho he does get found out at times against better players.

Yes carrick is better than parker but hes not good enough still. he doesnt influence games, he hides, hes not comfortable in tight positions. england would have still gone out last night with carrick. Probably lost the game in normal time actually cos hes also quite lazy.
