Media and “commentators” stay in the game for a much longer time in general because it’s their best interest to instigate shyt at the artists’ expense and attach themselves to it.
Ak don’t really care about Tory like that otherwise dude would have told him to take the plea. Dude cares about the clout and the platform.
Take the plea, do the year = no content.
Fight the overwhelming odds, two year media circus = plenty of content.
Simple math.
They knew there was nothing there to win that case, but they had to push it to stay hot. Ak said he broke his streaming record yesterday, so well done in that regard.
End of the day these people got agendas.
In the meantime they put their friends on (which he did through this case). That’s the game.
