Don't know when it happened but Tucker's Marketplace packed up shop and called it quits. And I think the Landing Strip is donezo too. It's going to be a different city once this shyt passes .

Y'all think these businesses will be gone permanently? Like they won't be able to reopen in 2 years time?

What will happen to these vacant retail and restaurant buildings?

Some of these places are right in the middle of other retail establishments.

I don't think it'll have the right zoning for residential buildings. Maybe a lot of chain US stores will try to enter the Canadian market again.

I heard the bay hasn’t posted rent at some locations since April

slippery slope for everyone

I think many of these restaurants will be done

how can mandarin survive without dine in?
Or like the keg etc

habits are changing

gangsta you were cool with this lockdown.....have fun.......

Cool?
My moms a nurse and I also work in healthcare unlike most of y’all I actually see things first hand but carry on.

there wouldn’t be a need for another lockdown if Ford wasn’t a bumbling idiot

I don’t see the point in shutting down gyms, movies and indoor dining when I can go to the mall and be surrounded by thousands of people

I wonder how much that check to Ford from Cadillac Fairview was

This shyt gonna bring people a lot of pain. I guarantee you when the dust settles people are going to be livid about these lockdowns. It's not going to be pretty at all. We'll see a lot of "Were the lockdowns worth it?" "Was destroying the economy the right call?". I'm on the fence. Crime is way up. So is domestic abuse, depression, etc...and more to come. Imagine the government shutting down your business and you lose your business, home, everything? Man a lot of people are going to be bitter as fukk. Business owners would rather go down with the ship on their own doing rather than have the government sink it for them. Imagine saving up and finally opening a restaurant in February and you're broke and destitute by April? A lot of those stories.
