York Region, where the positivity rate is around six per cent, opted against a possible lockdown because of "high compliance" by the public and businesses. However, the region is calling on the province to tighten red zone rules around shopping centres, which it says is needed now that nearby Toronto and Peel are in lockdown.

Police and bylaw officers will increase enforcement in areas where overcrowding is an issue, such as malls, big box retailers, grocery stores and banquet halls, it said.

RIP to a lot of businesses and jobs.

It’s just impossible Black Friday and around Christmas is when most of these places would make bank with people going to malls etc and spending money.

restaurants a lot won’t make it. No one goes to a fancy restaurant to take out

and landlords ain’t giving reprieve

many churches , mosques etc are done as well

:unimpressed:

Couldn't do it right the first time, just had to push the envelope.

Red season coming up. January we'll see a lot of those businesses that normally are in the red close down for good.

Gotta keep my favorite black bookstore in business.

just imagine that friday would be one of the biggest shopping days (black friday) and then with winter coming up some of these stores would have made a killing and now

many retailers and restaurants won't survive this
Boxing day has better sales and everything will be open again by then :yeshrug:
