I dunno breh, I think you’re generalizing. Most nikkas ain’t jumping to join gangs and shyt if they have proper guidance at home, even if they grow up in metro housing. I’m one of those brehs. My friends are those brehs. I got brehs from Malvern, Parkdale, Flemo, Rexdale and me myself I’m from downtown. We all doing good, being positive, some brehs got businesses, most of us married, some have children, owning properties. We thriving. And that’s not to say we didn’t have some dust ups as teenagers and made mistakes in different ways but overall that made all of us better.

But I’m biased cuz I was raised downtown, I’m raising my kid downtown and I’m not leaving downtown anytime soon haha.

Bruh 90% of these youths in Brampton banging all come from suburban rich homes

If you're a waste man you're a waste man regardless

you can't really compare crime because canada only has a population of like 38 mill

if you have benefits healthcare in the state is so much better
US has some of the best hospitals in the world for literally any disease or anything
john hopkins, mayo etc
Dont even get started on the Infrastructure , job opportunities

My sis move to DC and she said shes never coming back to canada :mjlol:

Hard to get into US breh. This aint 2005
I would of left long time ago
U need to get a job down there. My bro has had multiple job offers from the States but prefers to live in Canada. He’s lived in the States before (DMV) and he didn’t like it.

Personally, I choose Canada over the States cuz I’ve had many many situations in my life where free healthcare has essentially saved me and other family members from death. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the social service system—I had zero parents around and virtually no family in Canada throughout high school and somehow I still managed to eat and have a roof over my head without being a foster kid. Otherwise I would’ve had to do some real grimy shyt to survive or I’d be on the street. My social worker was the shyt! Helped my family make rent every month, made sure we had bus fare to go to school (Eastern Commerce), helped me get a volunteer position and then a job, got me money to buy clothes, etc etc. That’s why I’ll never complain about high taxes. I’ll happily pay them.

Ball program obviously but they had some dope teachers in the maths and science programs. Otherwise I mean, the teachers left a lot to be desired.

Sad that the school shutdown. The last couple years it was open I did some boys groups there just trying to give back. I understand the reputation but the kids weren’t the problem at alllll.

Thev stability of the suburbs is ideal to raise kids
arguable.

look what brehs are doing in Brampton. Suburban thuggin is so tragic. more resources in the cities but it's not affordable. I would rather be in proximity not all the way suburbia. plus the developments in most suburbs irk the hell out of me. driving through all those strip mall plazas with the same build style is off putting. I can't really get down with such bland surroundings for a long time it's very uninspiring. suburbs are the worst of all sides to me. Not really city living and not really country just cookie cutter middle ground. these developments have more land yet often the way neighbourhoods are built up they make less of a priority for green spaces. you have these huge winding neighbourhoods without anything to break em up... not a corner store etc.

Toronto and Peel Region will be entering Stage 2 of reopening this Wednesday after over four months of the COVID-19 shutdown.

This includes the reopening of hair salons, indoor shopping malls and restaurant patios.
