If you absolutely must live within Toronto's boundaries, yes, Scarborough is the most affordable area in the city. Houses there are around 50% cheaper than comparable homes just across Victoria Park in North York. But you'd better have a car and enjoy living around brown people if you plan to settle in Scarborough.

Its cheapest to live in the gta (think sauga or vaughan) but yeah scarbs is the cheapest in Toronto proper. Idk much about the rent prices there I'm just going solely off of what my homies that live down there told me. Some dudes be paying 1.5k for 1 bedroom apartment in sauga I doubt you'll find that anywhere in Torontosauga and vaughan are both expensive not cheaper at all breh
esp vaughan there are no "Ghettos" or bad areas in vaughan
