It ain’t easy. I co-manage a nationally funded mental health program, focused on the mental health connection to violence in low income communities so...im looking after a lot of vulnerable ppl who may not have the money to get through this crisis. So at work we are trying hard to figure out how to help keep ppl afloat and to give them accurate info that they may not have access to because let’s face it, ppl in the hood probably don’t have the social networks to feed them the most accurate info (Well that’s actually true for everyone but my concern here is vulnerable pops), leading to the of spread all kinds of misinformation and rumours leading to panic. That’s why I’m all over the COVID-19 info...gotta keep the ppl from panicking.

God bless you breh. I've been trying to get information from the ODSP for my dad and their phone lines have been swamped all day...both people who need care and social workers are scrambling to get answers right now.

Are y'all looking for something in particular? What are you doing in these malls?

Hospital I work at is right by eatons centre

And I live in Woodbridge have to take the transit so bus comes every half hour so I go inside the mall to not freeze

Both malls were dead

There isn’t a risk trust me I counted ten other people beside me in Vaughan Mills who weren’t workers

When do you think this will be over ?
From everything I’m reading (and some high level folks I know plugged into the healthcare system), don’t expect normal life again until June. I think by mid-May the restrictions will be reduced and by June the virus will still be around but we will have it under control. After that there will likely still be a “resurgence” where we will have to isolate again for 2-3 weeks but that’s speculation based on the info we have today. New discoveries are being made everyday so best case scenario is probably May. Worst case scenario is 18 months or...2021, but imo that’s highly unlikely. My very honest opinion is a lot of where we go from here rests on the US and how quickly their citizens (and president) start taking this more seriously. If the US gets their shyt together I see us reminiscing about this over beers and blunts in November without a worry in the world.

Overall, I’m feeling very positive about what the outcomes will be. I think Italy unfortunately provided a strong warning for the rest of us and the world has mobilized quickly enough to slow this thing down. Even here in Toronto there were more new cases announced from Saturday to Monday than in the two days since. We’re getting closer to slowing down transmission.

However I could be wrong lol. I’m not a health expert, I’m just consuming lots of info and drawing my own conclusions.
