I blame all these foreigners that are allowed to just buy up all the condo units in the new constructions which is driving demand and raising rent costs. Government needs to change these rules and stop letting outsiders fukk everything up for homebuyers that are citizens and just want to live a normal life. I feel you though. fukked up times with this economy and all these cuts to funding.

man its not sustainable esp as a single person if you want to live in a good area you're screwed. I remember 3 years ago going with my ex to look at a brand new condo for rent and it was 1,300 a month and i remember i was going to buy a condo at weston and highway 7 and it was 250k. I only backed out of it because my dad's plant closed down and I had to help out family

3 years later :heh:

london 270 subway stations (Sixteen Underground stations are outside GreaterLondon, eight on the Metropolitan line and eight on the Central line.)
ny 472 subway stations
tokyo 179
paris 300

toronto 75 :scust:
toronto should have at least have another 50 stations
since 1978 only 12 stations have been added and the population of the gta has grow by like 3 million in that time

if toronto had the transit of any other "world class city
you'd be able to hop on a train and get to ajax in like 40 min or mississauga or newmarket etc.

even canada is a joke no high speed train
fastest via rail can go is 160km/h :scust:

eurostar goes at 320km/h
japan has trains that go at 400km/h

in 1854 trains were going at 131km/h

The only good thing is the up express

I’ve taken it from the airport and in fifteen minutes you’re downtown

Everything else is trash

I still don’t know why they never made Sheppard west (downsview) and Yonge Sheppard connect by a station so idiotic

Im renting rn cause I refuse to move outside the GTA just to buy a house. Im lucky though. Only paying $1,300/mnth for my 2 bedroom apartment by Lakeshore and Dixie. That price is damn near impossible to find now which is why I dont wanna leave. Been here over 5 years now. Im near Long Branch GO and have a quick commute. Im just saving and hoping for this real estate bubble to burst so home prices can lower. Not much else to do if you dont wanna commute 2 hrs a day to the boonies. If I could afford a condo I would buy and rent it out in a heartbeat.

If WWE wasn’t racist DLo Brown woulda been a star. Had swag, mic skills and great technique in the ring and did crazy shyt off the top rope. But instead of being pushed they had him doing mid-card work on Sunday Night Heat/..

this is toronto brehs and brehettes
First things first is anybody renting from those big companies that own all the buildings in toronto lost. Gotta find the gems bro. I pay marginally more than those prices for two bedrooms and I’m 10 minute walk away from Eaton Centre.

Amazing price...youre lucky. Think with apartments there's grandfathered rent control increases...? You probably won't exceed $1500 for at least 2 years (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

As for bubble bursting...not going to happen. Less than double digit year over year increases, sure.

Real estate won't burst

nah man it would take prob like 7-8 years to reach 1,500

upload_2019-8-20_18-58-39.png

rent increase is 2.2% a year

2.2% on 1,300 is 28 bucks
lets say its 3.1% the highest it was in for a decade

would prob take like 6 years to reach 1,500
