    Patrick DoylePolice handout

It may not be your stereotypical example of a serial killer, but if this man is convicted of all three slayings he is alleged to have committed, the designation may stick.

Three dead men in three separate Brampton shootings last summer — and one man charged with first degree murder for all three.

Needless to say, it was a busy day for Peel Police’s Homicide Squad.

You just don’t often see one person being accused of three different killings. But in the GTA’s gang and gun culture, multiple murders are becoming more common.

In this case Peel Police Thursday brought charges against Patrick Doyle, 28, for the shooting death of Kareem Watson outside the Slumdog Bar and Grill July 12th, 2018.

A Canada wide warrant has also been issued for Yassine Nahi, 28.

He’s on the run. Police are chasing him.

But Doyle was in his jail cell, in custody for two other 2018 murder allegations that go back to Sept. 2, 2018 when in two separate incidents and different times in different locations but on the same day Cliff Correia, 27, and Derrick McKeown, 33, were gunned down.

The Kareem Watson murder actually happened six weeks before those shootings.

But Peel Police did a terrific job working these investigations and in the process were able to link one shooter to all three.

“Exhaustive, extensive homicide probes were conducted,” said Insp. Martin Ottaway on how they determined that three first degree murder charges would be applied to Doyle and one to Nahi.

And Ottaway warned anybody helping Nahi elude police could also face accessory after the fact charges.
None of these allegations have been proven in court. But that is where they are going.

When you think of serial killer, you think of someone Bruce McArthur. But Elizabeth Wettlaufer is also considered a serial killer for her evil killing spree of eight seniors under her care as a nurse.

This case is different than those in that this falls into the gangs, guns and drugs world.

However by definition, if Doyle is found guilty, he could fall under that serial killer descriptor.
