Questions are being raised about the case of a 36-year-old Ontario woman who died of liver failure after she was rejected for a life-saving transplant following a medical review that highlighted her prior alcohol use.

Amanda Huska died Aug. 15 after spending six months in an Oakville, Ont. hospital. She had been referred for an urgent liver transplant to the University Health Network Transplant unit in March. However, documents show the Alcohol Liver Disease (ALD) team at UHN rejected her in part because of "minimal abstinence outside of hospital."

Bro you already know, community and social services is about to get merked. I'm lucky that my department is pretty essential to Ottawa, and we kind of under Transportation (OC and LRT) in terms of importance so I'm kinda safe.

I feel for recreation, we're gonna see a lot more centers close up.

I try my hardest to not leave after 7am because it's a war zone out here. I don't remember traffic being this crazy, apparently they want to put bus lanes down Heron/baseline

It's not even that, it's just people are acting like a$$holes and everyone wants to be "lit".

You got all these dumb social media pages that try to paint Canadian cities in the same portrait as US cities. Ottawa has a popular instagram page called "shottawa" or and multiple "613somethings" pages that just promote stupidity..
