I listened to them talk about this on CBC radio today. No mention of immigration whatsoever. And it just isn't people with useless degrees it is everybody. Even computer science and engineering aren' safe bets right now. Seems like Nursing is the safest new degree in 2024?

Immigration plays a big role. Canada brought in over a million people last year.

And yeah its everybody, even big wigs are struggling to find a job.

Yeah I would say nursing is the safest bet hands down, most hospitals give sign on bonuses

Oh yeah I agree. I thought it was very cowardly that they never even mentioned the fact that they've imported millions of people in like 2 years. Supply and Demand just magically doesn't come into play when it is with people.

I'm currently dealing with this. I'm still unemployed after finishing my M.Sc. in October of 2023. I've probably applied to 60-70 jobs across the country. I can't even get an interview for a retail position that I could work until I find something better; they see the Master's degree, certificates etc. and they already know what it is. Finding work just with an undergrad wasn't even this bad.

Sorry breh
yeah its tough out there. The government is dumb as hell with this LMIA, tourists being able to turn a tourist visa to a work visa, and then no cap on hours international students can work.

I remember when i graduated in 2006, grad in april and by June I had my first jobb in my studies

crazy what's going on now

You know why every fast food place got a indian working? LMIA and paying them below min wage

You’ll have to go back to school to bide time.

If you can, go to America
