Welp

I had someone tryna get me to be a part of a fake conference where people like this buy tickets to attend and don't go home. They get commission on the tickets sold.

Are there real asylum seekers? Yes but a lot of people are out there because they came here for opportunities. problem is the cost of living is right now is crazy and Canadians need shelter space. It's a terrible time to be trying to get empathy from Canadians.

My point is brehs need to stop coming here expecting charity in this climate yet they are still telling others to come. I think it's personally reckless. Africans need to speak openly and honestly about the reception they receive in Europe and North America to people back home. I can't even imagine signing people up to a fake conference so they can come here and be asylum seekers sleeping on the street because I get a commission per head. I'm looking at the person that asked me to do that all the way funny. Winter is coming. Imagine your first winter being on the street. These folks are in for a bad time.

Yeah most of these people are not real aslyum seekers. And thats because I know I've been to east africa and go every 2-3 months and there are no direct flights to canada. So to get to canada they pass through like germany, turkey, egypt, usa etc. Basically countries where you if you are really a refugee you would claim refugee at the first port of entry. Instead you wait till you come to canada and claim there. It also screws over everyone else because now governments are more stringent in who they approve a visa for. I wanted someone to come visit me from east africa and the process for a tourist visa and the wait time (like over a year) just made me say screw it.

Its going to be a tough winter, shelters will be packed, and the government doesn't care.

This. I know it's a lot of Kenyan and Ugandan people are out there. They don't have plan besides getting here.

Yup majority of these refugees are from uganda, kenya and nigeria. It's extremely hard to get a cdn visa to even travel from those countries and ticket prices are very expensive as well and to even get a visa you have to have a return ticket. The sad thing is alot of these people had a better life in those countries than they will ever have here but they were sold a lie of the land of milk and honey.

In that article some nigerian guy said he just got here from Nigeria last Tuesday. A roundtrip flight to nigeria is like 1,500

While I don’t fault anyone seeking a better life :hubie: , people need to understand though. If you have no family and no friends here, how do you expect to get on a plane, land in a foreign cold country with no resources, no money, no jobs, no place to stay and think that everything will work out for you?

Very childish. Clout culture. Swearing at the PM is probably the highlight of his life.

These same people will boil if a future PM Poilievre is treated that way.

This country is going to the dogs
I think the elephant in the room is Canadians fukked up Canada.

No one wants to admit it.

People only started becoming vocal about politics when the Vaccine shyt started to come up...so I guess everything was all good before right
:mjlol:

First I agree, fukk politicians and politics, I know a guy back in my early 20s who had to check himself into the Royal Ottawa Hospital because shyt that was going on at Parliament.

People hear one thing and they run with it. If you're serious angry about housing. It starts at the ground-up. Not trying to go into too much detail, but look at the developers, I work around them. I hear stories from PMs about the threats of violence and briberies that go on.

But fam I grew up in social housing, shyt was never sweet, I know people who had to share houses with other families when they were kids. I remember people telling my mom how that she should stay on welfare and milk the system, so this shyt is not new. What's funny it was mostly white people too.

People have strange political memories. All the cuts that Mulroney, Chretien/Martin, and Mike Harris made have culminated in this current crisis.

And people STILL want to elect neoliberals who privatize all the gains and socialize all the losses.

You’re absolutely right. Canadians are a bad electorate. They’re sheep who keep voting for wolves…

When he was immigration minister, Ahmed Hussen went to Lagos to beg Nigerians to stop coming through Roxham Road into Quebec. Obviously didn’t work.

If you can drop dead from a simple ear infection, police brutality, hypertension due to strees in Nigeria or try to flee to Canada - you’ll take a chance.

Partially yeah, people cry about healthcare but mike harris closed 28 hospitals in ontario and ontario lost almost 12,000 beds. I remember those days my mom was a nurse (now retired) and her hospital north york branson closed and merged with north york general. Nowadays that would be considered suicide for any premier to mention closing of a hosptial but cdns sat idle and did nothing

This is what I was getting at. shyt didn't start 8 years ago. :mjlol: this has been escalating for years. The true architect of the collapse of gov housing here is Harris

Yeah I remember that I was actually in nigeria when that happaned :heh:

Canada actually closed roxham road

I won't be shocked if canada starts implemeneting some stuff that dubai does when africans travel there, you have to pay a security deposit that you get back when you return.
