Four people are facing charges after police seized more than 400 grams of various drugs—in addition to two pounds of magic mushrooms and opioid pills—as well as multiple firearms across the Greater Toronto Area.

According to police, an investigation into a suspected drug dealer believed to be trafficking throughout York Region began in early 2021.

As a result of the investigation, three search warrants were executed in Vaughan, Newmarket and Toronto respectively.

The first was at the primary suspect’s residence in Vaughan, police said. At the residence, officers found 37 grams of crystal meth, 39 grams of cocaine, 69 grams of heroin, 70 grams of fentanyl, two pounds of magic mushrooms, packaging materials, multiple cellphones and an unspecified quantity of cash.

The second warrant was executed at a residence in Newmarket, where officers found 1.25 grams of heroin, 92 grams of crystal meth, 115 grams of cocaine, 103 opiod pills, three grams of fentanyl, replica firearms, a muzzleloader long gun, brass knuckles, a butterfly knife, scales, cell phones and a vacuum sealer and packaging materials.

Police say the occupants of the home tried to flush some of the drugs down the toilet, but were unsuccessful.

Investigators then executed a search warrant for a storage unit in Toronto, where they located numerous firearms, including a loaded .357 Magnum handgun, a pump-action shotgun, a 12-gauge, semi-automatic shotgun, and a .22-calibre rifle.

Officers also seized two conducted energy weapons, some brass knuckles, a butterfly knife, a Glock magazine, and more than 150 rounds of ammunition.

Four suspects—identified by police as 25-year-old Vaughan resident Peddram Sadeghi, 35-year-old Vaughan resident Shirin Samavati, 51-year-old Newmarket resident Shahram Sadeghi and 48-year-old Giti Sadeghi—have been charged with various drug-related and firearm-related offences.

The charges, which have not been proven in court, include trafficking, possessing for the purpose of trafficking, unlawful possession of a firearm and tampering with a serial number of a firearm.

smh...who told?

Traveled back through Pearson this Sunday and it was more chaotic than usual. COVID has made customs way slower and they dont have enough staff. Huge crowd just lingering there, waiting to get processed, looked like the crowds media always claim are superspreader events :heh:

Beyond that airlines are also struggling, every flight I had was delayed. Theyve got staff shortages because they laid off a whole bunch of people during COVID, and cant adjust now that volumes are increasing again.

Airport seemed pretty busy, I think post vaccine campaign + end of hotel quarantine means travel volumes in Canada will keep increasing.

Wow, that's cheap. Thanks. Pre-pandemic it cost me like $35 to get back to Scarborough from Pearson :scust:

Glad you had a good time, would've linked you guys if I read the posts earlier. Happy to show you around next time you visit.

Which ride share did you take? Used to take one run by Tamils way back, they're still around running a back and forth ride Monday to Sunday :heh:

Yeah breh definitely, next time i'll come back on a weekend thats when malcolm says its the best :salute:

I had a black nigerian guy, just was on kijiji. He had a toyota sienna and there was 4 off us in the vehicle. It's actually not a bad gig talking to him he said he does it 4 times a week and makes like 400 after gas when he does it.

Lol funny thing when we stopped at the gas station in kingston I guess all of the rideshare folks use that cuz there was a tamil driver heading to ottawa and he had like 5 folks in his van :heh:

Honestly that ish is smarter than doing uber. Like 40 dollars gas can get you from ottawa to toronto straight highway driving

Lol yeah I know, I originally booked via rail and it was like 120 ONE way. I cancelled it and took a bus. The bus wasn't bad like 50 something as well, but the buses only run monday, thursday and friday. Was going to book via rail back as I was leaving today but cheapest I could find was like 150 then found rideshare.

It's better than uber or driving a taxi full time. You get 5 people both ways that's 250 guaranteed straight cash. Straight highway driving then you do a little uber here and there to top up and prob making like 300+ per day straight cash after gas

yeah its tough driving like 800km a day and ish but :ehh:
Tamil guys have been doing this for two decades straight, same group, multiple drivers. Clearly making a living off it. The one guy you call works like a dispatch and assigns you a driver, so they have multiple trips per day.
