erin o'toole already blew it sayin he'll get rid of the child tax benefit :snoop:

For each child: under 6 years of age: $6,833 per year ($569.41 per month) 6 to 17 years of age: $5,765 per year ($480.41 per month)

My sister has 3 kids and is stay at home mom and that money helps her and her husband

He's not going to replace it with something else? I mean, even if he didn't like it....he'd be a fool to get rid of it.

She can get fined big money technically she could drive across you can't be refused at the border.

breh any more info on this? So basically she tested positive on the august 12. And she’s crossing tomorrow by taking the Amtrak to Niagara and then taking a cab to the border.
What will the border ask her? Will they fine her for traveling while positive?

I went in on my girl cuz to me this is fukked uo beyond belief that she’s casually strolling an Amtrak with a positive test and it shows that people only care about themselves.

anyway, is she good to just go straight home to quarantine or are they gonna fine her?

t-dot till they bury me
:ehh: it was expected...took too long

School starts in 3 weeks but it takes 6 weeks to become fully vaccinated :beli:

Ontario pauses further reopening as it reveals new vaccine policies for high-risk settings

Employees, staff, contractors, students, and volunteers at hospitals and home and community care settings will, at a minimum, have to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19, have a medical reason for not being vaccinated, or compete a vaccination educational session.

People in these settings who do not provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 will be required to undertake regular testing, the government says.

The policy will be similar to one that is already in place in the province's long-term care homes.

In addition, the Ministry of Education said it plans to introduce a vaccination disclosure policy for all publicly-fund school board employees, and staff in private schools.

This will also apply to staff in licenced child-care settings.

Rapid COVID-19 testing will be required for staff who are not fully immunized against COVID-19, the government says.

Vaccination policies will also be implemented in other higher-risk settings, including:

  • Post-secondary institutions
  • Licenced retirement homes
  • Women’s shelters
  • Congregate group homes and day programs for adults with developmental disabilities, children’s treatment centres and other services for children with special needs, and licensed children’s residential settings

So we just gonna float in stage 3 forever?

Seems like it...we're near 75% fully vaxed, or maybe it's 80%

They're probably waiting to see what the impact of school openings is going to have. Plus election going on.

We're in this

When I was a kid and couldn't swim I was terrified of water. learned how to swim and was swimming in the ocean by 12. I can't understand non swimmers being near water.
