Sadly, it's the name. The name helps them on being recognizable (kinda), but it's still tied to their past.
I remember when they tried to distance themselves by using the whole Global Force Wrestling name, and Dixie hit the
. The thing with IMPACT is that it's a testament of what was wrong with the era it was born in. The whole loud, t*ts, and redneck type of feeling is hard to shake. It got to a point where they had to drop TNA just to get an endorsement.
Its crazy how despite the TNA stigma, the fact remains that the name will forever be a household affair. Scott could one day call the shyt "Candian Mounted Wrestling Frontier" and it will still be TNA to me.
