She has accomplished so much with no promo skills whatsoever.

Her?

Deonna has always struck me as someone who gets most of her character work done by the way she carries herself in the ring. :ehh:

She's good - not in the same league as Sasha and them and just below Rosa and Deeb, to me, (above Britt when it comes to in-ring work but nowhere near her promo-wise) but definitely has enough finesse to her that she isn't unbelievable as someone at the top of the division.

Impact Wrestling taped upcoming Impact TV content, Before The Impact matches, and part of Friday’s Emergence special this past Sunday at Skyway Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. The tapings were held over two sessions.


BEFORE THE IMPACT:

* Eddie Edwards defeated Deaner

* Laredo Kid defeated John Skyler

* Steve Maclin defeated TJP by DQ after Petey Williams attacked Macllin with a steel chair. Maclin was preparing to use the chair on TJP, but Williams made the save, which led to heat with TJP

IMPACT WRESTLING ON AXS:

* W. Morrissey and Eddie Edwards brawled until Sami Callihan made the save for Edwards, stopping a powerbomb attempt by Morrissey

* Chris Sabin and Sami Callihan defeated Moose and Ace Austin

* Matt Cardona defeated Shera

* Jake Something defeated Kaleb With A K in a No DQ match. Jake and X Division Champion Josh Alexander had a face-off after the match

* Chris Bey defeated David Finlay

* Melina defeated Brandi Lauren. This was Melina’s debut. After the match, Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo came out with “Drama King” Matthew to attack Melina but Trey Miguel made the save to set up the Emergence match and Melina vs. Purrazzo at NWA EmPowerrr

* Tasha Steelz defeated Havok

* Tenille Dashwood, Madison Rayne and Kaleb With A K defeated Taylor Wilde in a Handicap Match. Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering came out after the match to even the odds, saving Wilde from a triple team beatdown

* Crazzy Steve and Black Taurus defeated Hernandez and Johnny Swinger

* Joe Doering defeated Impact World Tag Team Champion Doc Gallows

EMERGENCE, AIRING THIS FRIDAY ON IMPACT PLUS:

* Impact World Champion Christian Cage came out to celebrate his win from AEW Rampage. #1 contender Brian Myers interrupted, along with Sam Beale. The segment also saw Cage retire the TNA World Heavyweight Title belt

* Chris Sabin defeated Sami Callihan. Moose attacked both of them after the match but Eddie Edwards made the save

* Mickie James came out to talk NWA EmPowerrr and called Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo to the ring. “Drama King” Matthew Rehwoldt was with her. Purrazzo attacked James until Melina and Trey Miguel made the save

* Willie Mack and Rich Swann defeated Impact World Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers in a non-title match. After the match, Mack and Swann were put through tables

* Rohit Raju and Shera defeated Chelsea Green and Matt Cardona

* Taylor Wilde, Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering defeated Madison Rayne, Tenille Dashwood and Kaleb With A K

* Moose defeated Eddie Edwards. W. Morrissey came out with Moose. After the match, a big brawl broke out with Moose, Morrissey, Edwards, World Champion Christian Cage, Brian Myers, Sam Beale, Sami Callihan, Ace Austin, Madman Fulton, and X Division Champion Josh Alexander. The segment ended with the babyfaces standing tall

* Taylor Wilde defeated Tenille Dashwood

* Crazzy Steve and Black Taurus defeated No Way and Fallah Bahh

* Moose came to the ring and called Eddie Edwards out. They fought until W. Morrissey helped Moose and they double teamed Edwards


* X Division Champion Josh Alexander hosted an Open Challenge and retained over the returning Jake Crist. After the match, Chris Sabin came out and challenged Alexander to a match at Victory Road. Alexander accepted

* Josh Skyler defeated Laredo Kid

* The Good Brothers came to the ring and cut a promo on how they put Willie Mack in the hospital. Rich Swann attacked with a steel chair and sent them retreating

* Steve Maclin defeated Petey Williams

* Trey Miguel defeated “Drama King” Matthew Rehwoldt. After the match, Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo attacked Miguel but Mickie James made the save

Bound For Glory made perfect sense to have him beat Omega but it doesn’t look like that’ll happen

It really would've. The easy made storyline would've been him winning capping off over a year of him getting his shyt straight. It even would've still worked with Christian having the title now because you still have the angle of Moose being the person to finally bring the belt back in house. But now, he's taken enough losses over the last few months in number one contender matches that he's back at square one as far as credibility.

At this point, outside of their clear interest in making Ace Austin a thing, the other clear option is Josh Alexander. :francis:
