and 119 minutes is where it needed to stayFilm was literally 119 minutes.
So the MCU is even more comic accurate?Movie was fine. Somewhere in the middle of the MCU films. Sometimes funny, CGI was cool, Christian Bale commanded every scene he was in.
I feel like the existence of Eternity is ridiculous. Why would Thanos pursue his mission via the Infinity Stones? It clearly would've been much easier to get the Bifrost into the center of the universe, access Eternity, and wish for half of all life in the universe to be eliminated. Same with Wanda wanting to get her "kids" via the multiverse. Hell, I bet Thor WOULD have been down to help her.
It's a feel-good sentiment to resurrect the girl, but now that we're doing full blown resurrections (different from the 2nd snap), death seriously has no stakes in the MCU

Just came back from it. I honestly didn't care for it very much.
First of all, Taika Watiti gives himself way too many lines as Korg. He was cool in Ragnarok because he had relatively little screen time and so much else was going on, but as one of the main characters he adds almost nothing to the story.
The first act of this movie is downright painful with all the unfunny rapid-fire jokes, plus the gave Thor that Goku in Dragon Ball Super development. Just a bumbling idiot for no reason. I guess technically the humor was better in this movie than in Ragnarok. Here I was mostly , but in Ragnarok I was straight up .
A certain crowd has been shytting on this movie for being too 'woke' but it really wasn't considering Valkyrie is out of commission by the third act and Jane is never presented as being stronger than Odinson. In fact the movie goes out of its way to show he's still the strongest even without Mjolnir.
I don't have kids, so I'm sure that as a parent, Gorr's sacrifice at the end makes perfect sense. But considering the fantastical nature of the film it just had me like . If I'm Thor I'm like, ". You just tried to kill me and now you want me to take care of your kid too? " I would have prefered it if Gorr wished for Jane to be healthy. Gorr knew he was about to die, and I'm sure his daughter was in some sort of afterlife, so Gorr could have wished to be with his loved one while Thor got to be with his.
But I highly doubt Natalie Portman is coming back for any more of these, which is why the post credits scene had be like because that is not going anywhere or leading to anything.
Also I appreciate the relative brevity but the pacing of this movie felt very off to me. By the end I was like, "Are we wrapping up already? " which is not a good thing because it felt like a lot of things were underdeveloped.
GL was betterThis def wasn’t Green Lantern levels of bad.
