So does this mean that Fiegie need to do that thing that Haters clowned or complained about them doing in the first few phases in “being more controlling and not letting the directors have their own viiiiiiiiiiiiissssssssssions”?

Not trynna start nothing legit question, cuz I remember when the original Ant Man dude left and Ava didn’t come on. People negatively jumped on it and said “Marvel & Disney need to fall back and let the directors and writers do their thing”

I know Fiegie and @Neo The Resurrected ONE been a little more lax as there was something or a scene in DrS2 they thought was corny, but the director begged them to keep it and they allowed it

But what is the wave? Cuz we can’t have no double talk and niccas can’t have it both ways.

Well….. Taika has been credited as a “good writer” per many of his works outside the Marvel

I think it's a great story to tackle after endgame
the audience member knows Thor enough
they understand that there's aliens and different gods in this universe and they also get aliens can be gods in this universe.

yes Feige needs to let the good writers do the writiing and not let newbies loose on scripts without a guiding hand.

money should be no object for the MCU at this point so maybe some of the ragnarok writers should have been involved.

yes I will wait but so far it doesn't look great.

why? because a lack of directorial quality control is the biggest problem so far in phase 4 and a pattern is starting to form.

I mean they have like tripled their output and are on a tight schedule they have to delegate some of the creative choices. Taika is highly accomplished in the industry it's not a bad idea to give him creative control. Only in hindsight because every critic isn't saying it is the best thing ever.

I predicted this the first time I watched the trailer and couldn't get through it.

This is basically going to be The Hangover II.

They took what made the first one fresh and simply reheated it, but they added too much hot Sause.

Folks had complaints about the directors but in the end it worked out if its mission was to get us to Endgame. Most realized Feige knew what he was doing in the long run even though those Ant-Man movies are both forgettable and no one thinks they rank in the upper half of MCU movies. Maybe if the Marvel and Edgar Wright actually had come to some agreement about Ant-Man maybe those movies would be viewed better. But that experience with Wright seemed to have affected Marvel enough to let Taika, Coogler and Derrickson have more control of their movies as long as it still fit in the overall story.

For Phase 4, IMO it seems like Feige has loosen the reigns too much. Maybe because of COVID by the way since everything seems to have to be rewritten at the time of shooting for all these movies. MCU has good credit so they can rebound no problem and all the Phase 4 movies have made money and been successful but something is missing. No need to go down and list all the Phase 4 movies and TV shows but things like the Quicksilver fake out in WandaVision or how they treated the Illuminati in DS2 just seems to be beneath the MCU. I don't think they would have done stuff like that pre-Phase 4. No way Feige is showing up to San Diego Comicon one month out from D23 if he thinks everything is going as well as it should.
