I think the Liutenant is the serial killer :ohhh:

I don't think he is involved, but based upon what we found out it is definitely someone in law enforcement. The killer took out Cousin Johnny and now his therapist, who probably knew some sketchy shyt was going down with the prostitution ring. I like the fact how the story continues to open up and each week we get more pieces to the puzzle. I was wondering how that girl was going to fit in, you wander off to Mexico and accept beer from random Mexican dudes because you parents don't love you enough :mindblown:.

Also it sounds like Sonia's sister was murdered by a deranged killer which was most likely her motivation for joining the force.

They went out of their way to show Linder wasn't built for that murdering life.

I'm disappointed in this show. We need a TV series that focuses strictly on the drug cartels and the conflicts at the Mexican/US borders with DEA. Like THE WIRE. This show ain't near THE WIRE, because the characters aren't interesting outside of RUIZ.
But The Wire didn't specifically focus on the drug trade, but the decaying and crumbling social and economic institutions that pave the wave for the underground market to flourish.

Unlike Baltimore, Mexico is experiencing the opposite: economic boom. So I'd like to see the show explore that angle as to why the black market is flourishing alongside the formal economy. And since you brought up the DEA, I'd like to see the show address the ATF and how they sent guns to the cartels. How involved is America in all of this?

Both shows do have something in common: telling the story from the perspective of the people who live in those conditions. The Wire did it better than any show I've ever seen. I really like that both shows humanize the story tellers (Wallace, D'Angelo, Bubbles). To show that they're not just statistics or numbers on a chalk board but real people. I think the Bridge is trying to do that with these women that are disappearing in Juarez.

Nobody has anything to say about this week's episode?

:wtf:

I thought it was a good episode for Sonia in the fact she struggled to deal with the girl who got murdered early on, but was able to relate at the very end right before she got got. Her boss being the one who worked the case of her dead sister and being the one who brain damaged him helps explain why he has her back so much and her going to the jail cell and watching dude color with tears coming down her eyes was :to:. That was Cooter (sp) from Justified Season 2.

The professor trying to get at Alma wasn't a surprise, neither was her reaction :whoa:

The little visual they did when Marco's son was txting and they popped on the screen in green while he was walking was neat, haven't seen that done before on TV.

First time I saw it on a tv show is when they were doing it on House of Cards.

Its starting to be a little too obvious that the lieutenant is the killer IMO

I think he killed Sonyas sister too and framed dude for it

Killer moved too fast for it to be the lieutenant, who said he's about to retire. Plus, I think the lieutenant was in the same room as the reporter one time when the killer called.

Rich dude's widow fukking up. Dudes from Tampa about to start some shyt and she ain't about that life. Her helper told her just leave it alone, don't think about it.

So Ruiz' pops was in the drug game :lupe:

Ruiz told his wife that him cheating on her with the widow was different. First thought was that he cheated on her before, read a theory that his current wife was his mistress when he was married to his first wife, Gus' mom.

I may be way off but I was under the imprrssion the dude who keeps calling the reporter and the person killing all the mexicans are two different people

I figured dude calling the reporter is probably mexican and hes trying to expose the killer who is american and killing hella mexican girls

That episode last night was :wow:.

The guy they have in custody has copycat written all over him.
Yeah. His reaction when he saw the cops at his place makes me think they guy they have isn't the killer.

I wonder what was the cop that got his face blown off about to say, what was his theory?

Fausto :salute:

His girl :wow:
