5 minutes in and i already hate the female lead 
I was kinda let down tbh. The female lead is annoying as fukk. Why did they try so hard to make her a rebel.
That scene when her boss was telling her he was retiring and she was like "What about me"
I'll keep watching it but i hope the actors settle in a bit. The story in itself is interesting though

I thought this was gonna be a The Killing rehash. A show where most of the characters leave me kind of cold,(to be fair, I've only seen that 
that is season one) until I found out that the lead bytch has aspergers

^^Yeah the main character has Aspergers which is why she has such difficulty interacting with people and showing empathy. They never came out and said it fully which is why Sonia comes off so oft-putting at first. I didn't like her immediately, but as the pilot went on I got used to the character somewhat.
I enjoyed the show, it didn't blow me away but I liked the setting, and story and there is a lot of potential with them working between the US and Mexico border. Ruiz was really good as a counterpart to Sonia and it will be interesting seeing them work together throughout the season.
I wonder if the rancher who died was helping to smuggle illegals into the country and that is what his wife is going to find behind the door.

show is suprisingly avg. between the over-acting and the main broad going full retard on 5 diff occasions i was underwhelmed.had high hopes for the show as well

She's got Asperger's (a form of autism); it's actually a pretty good impression of someone with that disorder. Difficult for them to empathize, socialize, and use eye contact.
I only know about Asperger's because I worked as a student-teacher for a year and dealt with a kid with Asperger's.
I understood what was happening, but it was a little too off-putting for me on first blush.
I'll probably binge after 3-4 episodes if it has any buzz though. I absolutely love Demian Bichir

Series will probably get better as season gets going. Premiere was a little underwhelming IMO. Good, but not as much as I was expecting.
