He was never the same after

http://www.theepochtimes.com/n2/images/stories/large/2009/07/05/federer-roddikk.jpg

he was already on the decline then, and everyone knew it. thats why it hit so hard.

wimbledon is always his best tournament, AND he got a kind draw. old nemesis hewitt and a not-quite-ready muzza. thats why it hurt so much. even if he won the tournament he'd still be going down the same path.

so sad, thanks for the memories andy, hopefully we can have a agassi/sampras last stand type of thing.

:krs:

this was by far the best experience of the day. him and stephens, but more so james.

shyt was so partisan, i bet the tennis community around the world wouldve been :scusthov::what: if it was a more popular player he was playing against, and americans would be :ohlawd::umad: back at them. hilariously partisan, funny chants, everyone hyped the fukk up clapping errors and shyt :russ:

theres a reason why they scheduled him last match armstrong around 6. the night brings out the wildness in the crowd

i will never love a player the way i loved roddikk, caught me right when i grew up with tennis, and its been real fun following him all these years even if it ended in disappointment. not the same at all with servebot isner and querrey. too young for sampras/agassi as well. history will look kindly upon roddikk and i've only this year given up irrational hope of his winning a slam, but i can crank up the hype machine a few more matches

Tomic
Fognini
Delpo
Djokovic
Isner
Federer

all about to go down for the greatest signoff in tennis history

That type of crowd behavior is why people hate American tennis fans, but that's obviously why the US Open has the best atmosphere of all them. Cause people actually care.

You think those French and British fags would be there at 12am cheering like hell? fukk no.

Venus fukked herself in this match. Kerber was clearly mentally out of the match.

Venus need to retire next.
