Djokovic is just too damn good. Poor Roger...if Nole wasn't around, who knows how many Majors he'd have at this point. He's still very good, especially at 34, but Nole is just a monster. A brain fart away in the French away from winning the Calendar Slam.

:salute: both of them, but Nole is just too good for Roger.

First it was Rafa, now its djoko, amazing shyt the 2000's have brought us.

We may never see this type of greatness again, three guys with double digit majors still playing each other.

How many majors would lot of people have if there was no federer??

Novak is a great champion in his own right, can't even hate even though I was pulling for Roger

Maybe if Fed had a hotter wife he'd have more confidence and he wouldn't play like dogshyt when it really matters.

Now novak could get to 18 in two or three years.

Crazy how uber athletic Nole, rafa and murray need to become to beat federer.

He'll hit a wall just like Nadal, Fed, and every other great has once they reach 29. Winning slams isn't easy and he's played A LOT of tennis the last few years.

The olympics is going to be interesting next year

Do you think it's just a matter of age eroding Fed's skills or do you think current Djokovic would be beating prime Federer as well?

IMO Clearly Fed's age, prime Fed goes DTL a LOT more in his prime, especially from the FH side. Prime Fed doesn't miss many easy FH's. Novak would trouble him (as all pushers do) but would get washed by Fed's FH.

Nah

Roger is smug as they come. He's the king of of backhanded compliments.
Yea, he be on his crocodile tears shyt.

Grats to Djoker, would've love to see the a calendar slam but oh well. Can't wait till he gets a French slam under his belt.

People need to stop with this big 4 bullshyt, it's the big 3. Murray ain't in the convo. Federer, Nadal and Djokovic were on a whole nother level these last couple years.

Definitely feel as if age/eroding skills is a big part of it. I mean, we're not that far removed from when Federer could beat Djokovic, but not Nadal, while Djokovic could beat Nadal, but had trouble with Federer. The fact that Federer is still playing as well as he is at this age is crazy, and he's still able to be competitve with Nole at times during their matches. HIs problem is he's just not consistent enough, especially with his FH, as dude above mentioned. Young Fed didn't have these problems (though, to play the other side, you could say he didn't have to play anyone quite like Djokovic either). So who knows.

As is the case with any sport, I wish we could somehow see these 2 play each other in their primes, but we have to settle for now, in which Fed is still paying very well, but just can't beat Nole.

Dude you keep saying this when Fed just beat Novak in straight sets less than a month ago :russ:

He let him off the hook completely last night, a couple of those break points go his way (not taking credit from Novak, but it is what it is) and he would have cruised to a 4 set victory too
